Why would you invite someone to your wedding that you barely know? For 1 reason and 1 reason only. To get stuff. That is low class in my opinion.

If you think they're gold-digging, how about a fondue pot or a lead-crystal paperweight with the image of a wolf or owl?

The invitation came a while ago. I said yes. Wedding is Saturday.

I don't know. She doesn't know what i am up to, I don't think. She sent it to my parents' address...and she knows me from school, where I appeared destined for low income work for the next 40 years.

Well, don't let her find out you aren't dirt poor or she will expect
a nice gift.. Most people these days have no problem with gift cards to national chains.. Target, etc

i was a bad student. never bought books. grauduated barely. thigns are different now.

It totally varies.

Family usually enough to make them debt-free or $10K.

Friends...I suppose $1,000 to maybe $5,000 for a really close friend.

Y'know Matt......buddy......I know we haven't talked much over the years, but I've always had a deep admiration for you and your money.....uh....knowledge....I mean your knowledge.

So with that in mind, will you come to my wedding?
