Tuna late at night?

Is there anything wrong with eating a couple of cans of plain, dry tuna late at night before going to bed? Will it affect weight gain?
 
nothing wrong at all.

you should always eat some protein just before bed. If you need to gain weight, add carbs too.
 
I find if I consume a lot of protein just before bedtime (especially eggs) my mind starts to race like that John Travolta character in "Phenomenon". I don't know what it is about it but it seems to perk my brain up quite a bit and leaves me restless. I always allow at least an hour or two between my last meal and beddy-bye.

I would think that a heavy load of carbs before bedtime would help you sleep but might end up gaining you some fat.
 
Just last week I got in the habit of eating in the middle of the night; you know, when you wake up to take a piss at like 2:30 - 3:30. If I go to bed early, I'll do this. But if I go to bed late, I'll just eat before bed. I usually eat 1 can tuna and one piece of bread. After a week of this I feel great, as if it shortens recovery time. (No science to back that up, just the way I feel.)
 
The only problem I've had with eating late, even if it's no carbs, is that it tends to keep me awake. If that's not a problem for you then it should be ok.
 
Eating at night is probably one of the best things to avert catabolism. Because when you eat tuna at night or pre-sleep, you are putting your body in a positive Nitrogen balance. Hence, the reason people use different blends of protein prior to sleep to offset the catabolic process.
