i had faced a plateau in flat bench but i got thru it recently. however as these are now the heaviest dumbelss in the gym (not very heavy ) it means i am doing 3 sets on them. when i get to my inclines for some reason i cant incline any significant reps (1-3 reps) but can still parallel dip within my normal rep range.
i believe my tricpes are fatiguing too quickly as when i tried to flat bench for experiments sake i couldnlt, but in both cases my chest felt it had more left (until i dipped )
i feel this may be due to me not doing enough sets for my tri's during my workouts. i do a chest/back, bi's tri's routine and have experienced good growth from it ( i think ). i do 8-9 sets on bi's, but feel that i dont have enough time to do tris sufficently and have always had the mindset 'oh well they would have been worked benching on chest day'
do you think i should switch to chest/tris.....or is it possible to exercise tri's inbetween sets of bi's...will this exhaust me in any way. ive only been lifting for 6 months so i feel i got a whole lot of growing to do
any thoughts or help would be much appreciated
