Training While Sick?

Alpine

New member
I have been sick as a dog for about a week now. I went to the doc yesterday and she said I have some sort of bronchial infection. When I was first getting sick I figured I would sweat it out while training. It seemed like I was even getting sicker tho. I was wondering how many of you guys train while your sick or take time off to get better then get back to training?

Depends on the serverity , normally sickness or infection from the neck up ( ie. cold ) I will train , if from the neck down ( ie. stomach flu...puking ,etc ) I won't train.

If I am sick with like a cold or something mild I will train. But if I feel like shit and cannot go all out during my workout, then I rather stay home and rest, than to do a half ass workout.

Im with ronin. If I can get in and squeeze out a moderate workout I will, but sometimes you just need to rest.

DDClay - That's kind of how I looked at it. I went for a short run last week and it felt I was running on 1 lung! It sucked! I was short winded and could barely breath right. That's when I figured I would take time off to get over the illness.
