Ok I go to college and basically my budget is fairly tight. so ive been buying my aminos, glutamine,C&E,zinc at these stores. do u think that im wasting my $$$ on these generic vitamins or do u think they are actually helping out??? please let me know cause I would hate to be taking something that isnt doing jack for me...

THANKS EVERYONE!

well if you look at the ing. on the exspencive stuff and look at yours they should tell ya the same ... just because there not a very known name brand . doesnt mean they wont work ! ...... as for me im taking xtreme trim which has bitter orange extract , ma huang extract (which is ephedrine) , guarana extract ( which is the caffeine in it ) gives me great energy !!!! white willow extract , ginger and syner -therm blend which is l-tyrosine , n-acetyl carnitine , fisetin, magnesium phosphates, dmae(2-dimethylaminoethanol). dont know what your looking for but this product gives me great energy , and it supresses my hunger . i find it to work well .;)

Try to avoid tablets and go for capsules or softgels whenever possible. The heat and pressure needed to form the tablets is known to cause diminished potency, and the label content isn't necessarily what is delivered.

On the other hand, I've gotten better results with the $8.99 "Metabolite" from Walmart, than I did with the $40 bottle of Xenedrine from GNC. All I lost with X was $40.

I get a lot of stuff from Walmart, and haven't been disappointed with anything I've gotten there.

Although the gel caps I've tried over the capsule (i.e. St. John's Wort, Kava kava) were much more effective. Since both are offered at Walmart, I can't say it's a bad deal.

GNC is AWFUL with prices. Try anywhere else than GNC, their overhead is ridiculous and their prices reflect that.

Guys nad girls im not talkng about fat burners that walmart sells,,,i am talking about there VITAMINS that are like $3-$7 a bottle (vitamin C,E,glutimine, amino acids...ect that kind of stuff.:)

BTW-fawnmarie that metabolite works great IMO.:D

Metabolite is GREAT and Cheap - I usually rev it up a little with St. John's wort and white willow bark

I've gotten the vitamins there and at Sam's Club (about a bucket full for cheap) and have been very happy with them. I get the HUGE bottles of C and multivite w/herbs from Sam's Club.

Like anything, brands will probably vary; but they will vary as much at GNC as at Walmart. Many of the brands I see at Walmart, I ALSO see at my local health food store at a much discounted price. Also remember, Walmart is VERY sensitive to their reputation, and wouldn't take as many chances as a smaller store.
