I am trying to lose fat and gain some muscle at the same time. I have a few questions. I am 5'7 165lbs I am not sure what my %bf is. The thing is, I have a super slow metabolism and I gain fat really easaliy! I was wondering if I can reach my goals by following the diet that I am on now. I get about 250-290 grams of protien and 100g or less of carbs each day! The carbs I get are all eaten before 3p.m. they come from....
30g, Oatmeal
35g, Brown Rice
25g, Myoplex
8g, Pro Complex x2
Besides the protien shakes, All of the protien I get comes from fish, meat, eggs, cheese! I do cardio 2x daily 30min in the a.m. and 30min in the afternoon. I am in the gym 5 days a week for about 60-80min a day. I am wondering if I am on the right track or if I need to change some things??? Are the carbs too little or too much??? How about my protien? Any suggestions would be a TON of help!!! Thanx, Mike

you can't gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. you can lose fat and tone at the same time. thats probably it. How many calories do you eat a day and whats your maintenance level.

Also your metabolism can't be so slow when your working out and doing so much cardio.

Its best to drop your calories 500 calories below your maintenance. To lose weight your supposed to do weight in lbs x 12.

So you should be eating about 1980 cals a day to lose weight and then you lose more weight with the cardio. The gym work will help you to be able to preserve your muscle and lose more fat.
