REALLY good. Started a new split a few weeks ago which involves lifting heavier and more often to really test everything out. So far it's been nothing short of excellent. Just gotta keep plugging along. Thanks
I'm training for the npc eastern seaboard figure comp in may. I'm doing 45 min cardio sessions 6 days a week and lifting (split bod parts) 5 night a week. Since I have mini me at night and her studies are critical (she's gotta be a genuis like me when she grows up) I've been doing my cardio on my lunch break at work every day so I can get in the gym, lift, squat til i puke then jet home.
I've feelin' really good about where I'm at right now so in 8 weeks I should be good to go.

I'm just finishing up a "bulk" in the next few weeks, not so much to gain muscle but to increase my bench. I started using a 5x5 with 315 and now I'm doing 5x5 with 335.
My current split, no direct bicep or tricep work and all large compound movements.
Day 1 Chest
Day 2 Back
Day 3 Legs
Day 4 Off
Day 5 Chest
Day 6 Back
Day 7 Legs
Give me a progress report/status update. What is current split, what are your goals, what is lagging, what is looking good, what do you need help with, etc, etc.
Been working out over 28 years now. I just recently hit 220 lbs., my highest weight ever at 5'9". I'm still gaining muscle mass and I'm going on 43 years of age. I work out each bodypart less than 1 time a week. I focus very well. I have no idea why I continue to gain mass except that I eat a lot and have a very good cook. I'll give the credit to God. I can't believe I've attained this much mass from how skinny I was as a kid.

I appear to be having trouble getting rid of my soft spots on my sides Very fustrated!! I am feeling and seeing a difference everywhere but there it appears. Just gotta keep pluggin away at my diet and I have recently increased cardio by including a spin class once to twice a week. Thinking about also getting into more classes...maybe the gutbuster class
I so need to get me a trainer!! But the one at my gym, well....not so sure about him..used him twice and he didn't prove to be very helpful.
Very easily. I work out 2 to 3 times per week, but I often skip days so that it ends up that I work each bodypart less than once per week. I think the extra rest does me good. This shit isn't a science like some want to make it. I've tried all kinds of ways of working out and I overtrained for many years. What works best is individually based.
