Some observations I have made watching people at my gym->

Today I saw this big black dude at my gym doing super light(15pounders) DB laterals. Strange. He did like 4-5 sets of them. Then some super skinny air force guy came in with a polo shirt(seriously ugly one at that) tucked into his goofy dress shorts. It was too funny. He was doing DB presses and my girl was doing DB presses next to him using 10 pounds more than him! poor guy. Ever see the guys that do super fast reps? That is always good for a laugh too. I cant wait till I am huge, I will bring some sand to the gym and kick it at dumb asses. haha.;)

Sounds like you are starting to get more concerned with other people and their workouts than your own.:D
 
Well, when I workout I am usually there at night(late-midnight or so)- so there are literally no people there. I have it all to myself(and my girl)- so when I go ocassionally during the day there are 5-6 people and I cant help but notice them right next to me. To tell you the truth most of the people there are more concerned with talking to each other than working out. That is why I like it better at night. No creepy old men to stare at my girls ass.
 
mind your own fucking business. Concentrate on your own workout and do not care with what other people are doing. I remember people butting in or scoffing when me and my training partner were doing HST. We did full body routine, and people would just come up and said we didnt know what the fuck we were doing. That pissed me off a lot. That and when we did negatives with pullups with 2 plates, and juiceheads were pointing and laughing.. idiots. People do not PURPOSELY DO these things, they are simply ignorant and uneducated! Someone mentioned guy doing less on dumbell presses than a girl.. so fucking what? Maybe it was part of his periodized cycle and he was building up the poundage? Again mind your own fucking business, and that applies in life as well.
 
Maybe if you would read my posts you would obviously see that I do mind my own business and never once have I said a word or given any kind of look to anyone at the gym. Of course they are ignorant or doing their own thing. People have come up to me and said shit like you are talking about and it is annoying as fuck. Not everyone knows what they are doing. Some things work for some people and not for others, what I am talking about and what this whole thread is about is people doing obviously non-effective things. So back up your attitude.

Obviously some super skinny guy that weighs maybe 140 and wearing dress clothing is not doing periodization training. Hey at least he is working out, great for him. Its still funny though.

Try reading the posts before you start telling people what to do.

Bashing down on the 140 pounders eh? I'm only 137! Not nice :) Was only 130 about 5 weeks ago so i'm working my way up :) I just recently started incorporating squats into my leg day on Wednesdays. My GOD, my ham's and butt were totally shot for about the next 2-3 days (only now just starting to get over it). I assume this is somewhat normal when just starting them. No back pain or anything, I believe I do it with pretty good form, done quite a bit of reading up on them...keep your feet flat, butt stuck out before bending knees, try to go down to parallel etc...

I saw this one guy last week drop the entire squat from shoulder height (made the most LOUD slam I've ever heard in a gym, now THAT was just dumb..shouldn't be lifting something you can't set down).
 
Hell yeah, after a year layoff I started squats again and could barely walk for 3-4 days. Those big leg workouts are brutal!
 
dude walks in with a clubbing shirt and pants then walks over to the 5 kg dumbbells ,throws them around like its a speed record attempt them does some hunched lat raises ,gos to the tap makes his hair all shiny and walks out with arms wide out like a rusty tinman.

Maybe I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, but I hate when people say "I could care less". That statement is meaningless. Say "I couldn't care less" instead. Just being bitchy, sorry man.
