holy hell I'm in bad anaerobic shape. I used to play once a week and it kept me in great shape. Just a game to 10 and I wanted to quit after the first few points scored. My legs and back tightened up and I had no energy left after the first minute. Amazing how much you lose when you don't use it. I can still run 10 miles if I want to, but intense anaerobic exercise is a whole different thing.
