should I be worried about my weight?

My discs weren't herniated, but every exercise she gave me came from "Treat your Own Neck" by McKenzie. I think my success came from (1) have a PT show me how to do them correctly and (2) taking some Alexander Technique classes to show me how to avoid strain in my every day actions.

I changed how I sit, how I sleep, how I drive, etc.

A bump for keiko - when you started to do the exercises, was your neck area initially sore for a few days? I ordered a McKenzie book from Amazon and it just came in yesterday. My neck/shoulder area is a bit sore now after doing a couple of the exercises. I didn't go crazy here, just did a couple of the exercises after I read thru the book. I've lost some flexibility/range of motion to one side on my neck so maybe this is just soreness from stretching out the limited ROM.

WHen I first started, I was in such pain, I think I cried through the exercises. Take it very slow and easy. Even just doing the neck stretch and holding it to a count of 5 was painful. But, slowly and surely it did ease up.

I didn't lose any range of motion permantly but it was slow-going at first.

I'm not crying, but I sure as hell am sore right now. I'm not in pain, just sore.

I just wanted to make sure this wasn't an anomaly.

thanks!
