Short1 - Bodybuilding Competition Log

On the side-bicep pose, is it worth rotating your forearm a shade more to tighten the biceps?

Looking ever more chiseled, TSO.

Which is the shoulder you are having trouble w/ ? The right side actually looks like it can flare out further than the left on both your front & rear lat poses. Don't know if your left shoulder has a limited range, but if not and its just a tendency you have on the left side, might help to consciously relax it and let it pull like the right side does - it tends impact the symmetry a little.

DAMN WOMAN...

Allow me to congratulate you on your stunning physique!!!!

Now, if I may offer some assistance with your posing?

Your legs are STUNNING but seem to overpower your upper body because you are not pulling your lats out fully. You have AMAZING bicep peaks but your chest seems to be lagging a bit. You have to change the arm placement a bit in the front double bi - bring your elbows up a bit and raise your chest pulling out your lats. This will make your upper body more symmetrical with your lower body and make your waste appear smaller giving you a better V-taper.

WORK ON PULLING OUT THOSE LATS.

Your legs are stunning, stunning, stunning but they are over powering your upper body.

Also in the side chest, try to bring that rear shoulder up a bit dipping a little lower in the front (this pose is also called the rib box). Think about dipping low enough to expose your serratous intercostals.

Your delts will need some work as well.

Also in your rear lat spread you are bringing your shoulders to far forward to the front of your body. This makes your shoulders appear even smaller. LATS LATS LATS... pull them up and out - not forward. I know this is hard as a bitch... took doofus me SIX MONTHS to get it down.

What I know about this stuff could be fit into a thimble and my comments were designed to help. I do hope that I did help. :)

I am confident that you will kick some ass!!!

I'll take all the help I can get. I'm basically doing this alone - the person I had helping me is no longer around...Makes it difficult to get posing right. Especially lats and all my rear poses. oi.

David Henry lives in Tucson. I'm going to email him today and sii If he can either (1) help me with my posing, or (2) direct me toward somone who can.

I'm getting a lot o advice from people around me, bu they don't know any better than I do. lolol - so I'm polite, but I just ignore them. :D

That's why I want to slap people who think BB is just prancing around on stage in a speedo.... Its one of the most retarded competitions in the world, but it has quite a history and tradition. I mean, if a guy like Arnold took ballet lessons in order to present better, that says something. It is truly an art form :)

But to that point -- you are a natural at the side poses. Everyone has parts where they have natural gifts and other parts that just plain old need lots of work. This sport strips you down to exactly what God gave you to work with. There are no freebies or 'sufficients' here.

I guess consider this part of your indoctrination. I frankly didn't actually figure out the lat spread until this past summer.

Shit - that's not encouraging. lol

I called the Gold's Gym in Tucson where David Henry works out - he'll be in later this afternoon, and they also have a couple of other cometition trainers there who can give me some posing lessons. Hopefully.

So - I'll call back around 2 ish (that's 4ish for you east coasters) and see if I can make an appointement for next week.

It just tells you its a lifestyle, not a one shot deal :)

This, I realized right away. lol I have to admit that I really love what I'm doing, and I know that once I get this friggin posing thing figured out enough so that I don't look like a :nerd: , I'll be really happy.

I already see myself doing this again.
