Seasonal changes??

Do any of you find that the changing of the seasons, particularly going from warm weather to cold weather, affects any or all of the following:

a) training?
b) diet?
c) motivation?

My motivation seems to be going down somewhat with the temperature. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

yes

heading to work in the dark and then getting off and heading to the gym and its dark again really wears you out. So in winter season I try to make sure I make saturday and sundays workout days and take off more days during the week. pretty much solves that problem.
besides you should be lifting heavy in winter so really no need to be going to gym but 4 times a week tops. gotta get rest when going heavy.

seasonal changes only affect me on the way to the gym since it is getting colder. it has dropped a good 15 degrees here, and although it ain't as cold as some your guys' home weather(here it gets to hi 40's lo 50's), that is freaking cold as fuck for me. I do look forward to running in the cold though, when school gets out.

funny

The funny thing is when winter hit's I look better, because I hit the gym on consistant basis to help me feel better. In summer I hang with friends or cut the grass or take my dog to the park and don't make it to the gym every night.

Basically I consider Summer my maintaining time and winter my building time

Being from Phoenix, I look forward to this time of year. Although I miss the conditioning factor of working out in the summer here.

is this a particularly cold fall in Phoenix or is the weather you've had lately normal at this time of year?

It gets colder here than people think in the winter. But we can't complain about it because the rest of the country will laugh at us.

And yes, we are below normal for this time of year. :bawling:
