OK, so I just got a call from the hiring mgr for the company I REALLY WANT TO WORK FOR (my friend from college hooked me up).

He said he was calling just to update me in that they seem to have "lost" their recruiter, i.e. she's on vacation or quit. You're kidding me. So since he personally has to deal w/ a client network outage, he said I probably won't hear from anyone until Monday when he is able to figure out what happened.

So then I get an email from the recruiter for a local job here - he talked to the company here about my res & says they will review it on Monday, so no response until Tuesday.

And no word at all on the house.

So, my friend from college just called back, said the recruiter was a contractor, so possibly no longer there, he will talk further w/ his boss & get things moving faster.

Until then, I guess I'll just chill

and train
