Raw Oatmeal in Protein Shake

is there any way to blend raw oatmeal into a shake so it doesn't all sink to the bottom? maybe with a few egg whites or something? i've also added some flax seed meal to it, as i was adding that to my cooked oatmeal before. made things a little easier on the, uh, exiting end when i was eating 2 bowls of oatmeal a day. FYI if anyone hasn't tried it.

the oatmeal in the shake tastes really good, kinda like drinking granola or something, so blending it all together is something i'm definetly going to keep doing because it'll save time on meals and leave me feeling less full and weighed down. most mornings, however, i'm drinking my breakfast while driving to school and don't want to have to deal with stirring it all up while driving. any suggestions?

Unfortunately, the only way I can make it stay up is:

1) make it a thicker shake with less water and more ingeredients, such as strawberries, blueberries, and more protein

2) incorporating milk in it will also thicken it up
 
actually, i did mix it in milk. i don't chug stuff down unless it's water and i'm extremely thirsty. usually takes me about 10-15 minutes to drink a protein shake. if something tastes decent, i'll take my time eating/drinknig it and just enjoy the flavor.

last night i used 8oz skim milk, 1 scoop protein mix, and 1/2 cup raw oats. ealier today i used all the same, except i added a big ass scoop of ice cream and 1 tbsp flax seed meal. it was pretty thick, but it settled to the bottom even faster.

the other thing i have to try is adding oatmeal to my egg, milk, and 1/2 bananna mix. maybe it'll stay mixed better in that as it's usually pretty thick but also fluffy due to the eggs. need the 1/2 bananna for flavor in that though, cause w/out it, i can't stomache it.
 
I hate that too

I bought one of those blenders with the pour spout. I use oat bran in my morning shake and will usually pour the shake into a cup as it blending so that the oatbran doesn't settle and I drink it quick. Other wise, it just sinks to the bottom.
