protien shake vs. protein bars

sah1975

Good Bro
Whats the difference between the drinks and the bars?

(besides one you drink and one you dont)

I can do the bars but i tried on of the shakes not sure off hand what brand name but once it all went down it all came back up and sorry cant try it again

Why not food? Keeps you fuller, longer and burns far more calories during digestion. I'll take a 4-6 oz filet over a protein bar any day for a snack.

Man, if I'm gonna eat anything out of a diaper bag, I'm gonna bring a toothbrush

J/K. But yes, it is much more expensive to find a protein bar without a lot of crap in it than it is to find a quality protein mix. And let's face it---and this is not a dig at anyone---sometimes life is busy and you just gotta cheat, better to use a supplement than a donut or whatever food is handy in the break room.

Some mixes taste better than others. Try some different varieties, as far as flavored ones go I think the strawberry ones tend to be the best & most drinkable. Or try an unflavored mix and mix it into any liquid or soupy food/drink. It will thicken it a little but you'll hardly notice it's there.

FOOD:) Only take bars or shakes if you really have to..I usually only take one in during class or if Im in a major rush...Shakes dont do shit for my appetite.
