Pre Bed

Ive nixed the peanut butter and or peanuts........also dumped the cottage cheese.......I have a good meal after I get home of either p/f and or p/c depending on training schedule ....around 7-730pm and a thick ass casein shake of skim and egg whites with either some udos or almonds arond 9pm....then it's lights out.......

1.Shake with flax seed oil to slow absortion (O.N. ) also may be loaded w/bananas etc...........

2.ANPB with 7 grain and or wheat or low sodium an low or no cholesterol crackers

3.Tuna with 7 grain and or wheat

These are my after 5pm three favorites!!!!!!!!

Turkey breast meat is a good choice - not only is it a good high quality protein but it has triptophane (sp?) which will help you sleep better. Wash it down with a protein shake and you should be good to go.

There are those who advocate taking ZMA supplements at bedtime but you cannot use any milk based protein shakes as the calcium prevents absorption of the minerals.

depends on what your goals are but i usally have a shake (which i put in the blender) of 6 whole raw eggs, 1 scoop whey, 2 tblspns olive oil.....blend it up, drink it down, go to bed........and im cutting....

Yikes. Have you met my friend Sal Monella yet. You'll know if you do, he's a bad ass MFer and by the time he gets done with you, you'll feel like you went ten rounds with the champ.

Of course, if you're doing a cutter, all the puking will help you eliminate excess calories, not to mention the kick ass ab workout ;)

I was in the fatty oils like flax seed slowing digestion also. I recently was enlightened by some papers I read that it in fact does not slow digestion of protein. Only fats contained within the protein source do that. Kind of along the lines of oil and water not mixing thing.

Why do so many of you drink whey before bed? Doesn't it digest way too fast for the purpose of providing nutrition during sleep? i.e. Isn't casein the obvious choice if you're going to have a shake?

Personally I have a couple tbsp of ANPB or some whole peanuts, perhaps nuke some chicken wings or any leftover meats I have in the fridge.

whey? Yes.......but se casein and flax = good to go....switch peanuts or pb to almonds or walnuts 100X better for you

Had 2 tbspns of flax oil and rocky Road Pro Complex last night.

I usually go with almond butter and cottage cheese.

The flax oil I have has 1.5g saturated fat a serving (1tbspn), while almond butter has 1g and ANPB 3g per 2 tbspns.
