i was going to try it a long time ago running. well, the day after my first day i fractured a bone in my leg and severely sprained my ankle. i want to give it another shot now. but, i can't run well still because of my ankle, especially not sprint. so i'm going to use a stationary bike. today was my first day. i did a 5 minute warm up, then full resistance/minimum resistance for 30 second intervals for 5 minutes, then a 5 minute cool down. this was all after lifting. every 2 or 3 sessions i'm going to add another full/minumum interval until i reach 15 minutes of intervals. does this sound like a good plan to lose a little weight? as much as i'd love to do it in the am on an empty stomach i have to be at work at 5 in the morning and the gym doesn't open till 6. so they're all going to be afternoon workouts.

I've been doing HIIT workouts on and off for the past year and a half and they have been great. Make sure you stick to a good diet too or all of that effort will go to waste. I took a break from HIIT for four months at the end of last year to train for a marathon and actually gained a few pounds back!

You should have started off slowly, just jogging and walking short distances and then build intensity and length
