pain in my arm

hookdup

New member
Hi ladies / guys

I've been trying to raise my weights lately but the other day when I was doing my upper body lifts, I felt a tingling sensation in my left arm (tricep).
I'm left-handed so I have to work hard not to favour my left arm.
Anyway, I felt the pain even when doing presses, and when I tried to do skulls, the pain started getting intense so I stopped.

It's not a muscle burn, more of a tingling sensation like when your foot falls asleep. I feel it in my lower tricep, I would say the lower third of my arm.

Have I done serious damage, or is this just something fairly common?

Sometimes that happens to me....It could just be a pinched nerve or something. Whenever it happens, I just crack my back or my neck and it seems to go away. I don't know how healthy all of the cracking is, though.

Sincerely,

Bunny

RE:

Although training gives most people pains, your body is unique, as bunny said it could just be a pinched nerve but I serously recomend that you see your doc, it may seem like nothing and end up being very serious :freak: :)

Ditto to the above, sounds like a pinched nerve, could be a stretched tendon, or ligament, see a orthopedic suregeon or a sports med MD.

I hurt my left arm and ignored it for a month, while on a cycle, just uped my deca, turned out to be a biceps tendon tear,

then I was out of the gym for two months and my left arm is always going to have a popeye biceps. too late to be repaired.

Thanks everyone.
I'll make an appointment with my doctor ... who will then have to recommend a sports specialist.
Doesn't it suck that it can only be done through referral???
Means I'll have to take time of work twice ... oh well, at least I'll get some good answers.

I don't feel the "pain" today, but I haven't done weights ... so.
The other day though, my arm would just hit the side of a chair or something and I would feel a tingle.

I'll let you all know how it goes!
