delts/tri's

etc etc

is it ok to basically 'hammer' it whilst on gear?

You have to be careful the length (# sets) you are training when on cycle. You can feel so pumped that you overtrain and end up stunting muscle growth or tearing something. Train hard with proper form- and to fatigue, but don't overdo it set-wise. Good luck.
