Is this too much for stomach muscles?

50 Flat leg Crunchs and 50 Regular Crunchs every morning except weekends + a 30 min session for stomach muscles a week (wedensday)

I think that's too much. You're not giving your abs a rest period in which to grow and strengthen. You can train abs more often than other muscles, but I don't do them more than twice a week.

If you want your abs to grow treat them as any other muscle. Train thain 1-2 a week hard alond with obliques. Low volume high intensity always dose the trick.
Think about it this way, are you going to get huge pecs from bech pressing the bar 8 sets of 40 every day or no more than 9 sets of high intenisty once/twice a week?

I'm kind of interested in the original thread here myself. Seems like you are suggetsing HIT with abs. How do you that? Are you suggesting like only 8 reps with abs? Can you give examples of ab excercises reagarding this? I normally do 30-40 crunches. I also do 50-60 hip curls (I bring my hips towards my chest with my legs and knees in a curled and tucked position) - that way I avoid hip flexor involvement. I can do this on an incline I can do it around 20 reps. Of cousre I can always incline more but I will say that I don't get the burn in 20 reps that I get in 50-60 so I don't think I'm working them. Should I be concerned with this? Also, so that I get an accurate resposne, I do not take roids.

Some ppl respond to EOD ab training. Personally, I go for 2x a week. On chest day, and on leg day (they are heavily involved in stabilizing movements such as squats).

Weighted cable crunches and weighted knee ups

Wasn't really suggesting HIT with abs. I mean, you can do that, the weighted crunches and knee ups. But you have to remember that if you do it that way, your abs will respond like any other muscle would, by getting larger, possibly to the point where they stick out. If that's cool with you , go for it.

I was suggesting doing a normal ab routine twice a week. Mostly the high rep crunches, knee ups, twists, whatever. I'll do weighted crunches on a decline bench now and then, but that's rare.

yes, i would say thats too much, if you are looking for a six pack, you have to diet and do cardio, just hit abs twice a week in the gym, keep protein high, and carbs low.
