Off day diet?

#1 - Lean bulking - show in 15 months and need a clean xx pounds........here's my question. In my previous life, I trained 7 days a week, and did cardio on most days in the am. Now here's my dilemma....: How many days a week do you take completely off from the gym? The pro I'm training with for a show in 15 months has me training 5 days a week, with the 6th being a weak bodypart session only if he feels necessary. No cardio, except this crazy glute ham stretch on the treadmill at 12% incline and 2.5 ramp...deep stretch. I see many dudes train 6 days a week easily and then there are some that do something every day of the week....so help me out bros.....how many off days and on your totally off days do you take in very very little carbs? That's the other thing. He still has me slamming carbs in my first 4 meals, then my 2nd 4 meals are proteins and fats. Why the hell do I need so many carbs when I'm sitting and being a lazy bum in the office all day? Rationalize with me. Tell me what I need to know! Thanks!
 
you have to do it, it's hard at first but you have to just rest. do you want to stay looking like you are? the answer is NO.
 
Yup...just needed some support to get through it...I have no choice, esp. since he works at the gym....lol...anyways, what do you guys do? Just veg out, recover, sleep and eat?

just what ever. I eat my regular meals and go about my day. i don't even think about it.
 
im about 168 5ft 9 now, down from 175. I'm doing a slow cut to lose the body i've gathered around my waist and chest which is about the only place I have it.

I would say it's rough to estimate body fat because, when one rebounds from extreme starvation like i was at, body fat tends to gather around the stomach and chest.

I've gone from 95lbs to 175 was my highest with only one little mini cut in which i lost 8-10lbs but i was wary to try to lose weight with the little muscle i have.
I would guess 15-18% would be my total. i need to a dunk test done to see what it comes to.

I'm also on HRT, 200mg/ every two weeks, which is needed thanks to my fuck up. I'm going to start seeing another endocrinologist soon, and look in to HGH as an addition or replacement in my therapy. I think i paused or stunted my body's growth since this all took place at the time my body need to grow. I'm hoping the HGH would help restart my body and play catch up.

have you noticed or do you think you would notice (if you tried) to bulk up with subbing in a HRT dose of 200mg/2 weeks?

when I first started my HRT i used Androgel for a month and noticed a differnce. I had then switched to Androderm patches for the 2nd month thinking it would be cheaper, it wasn't and they didn't work at all. I was pissed. So i went on the injections and gained maybe 5-8lbs after starting the 200mg/eow. THen i decided i needed to slowly cut. I would definately notice. I've been cutting and my lifts are still going up. I've done nothing but get stronger since i started. It's not a huge gain like if i was running a cycle that someone else would but i can definately tell a difference.
