does it actually make the shake thicker and what a good carb source...if u blend it in the blender with ice is it good? and what whey in what flavor

Well, I don't put oatmeal in my shake, but I do make a meal out oatmeal that is really good, really high in protein, and really good for you. All you do is make up a cup of oatmeal, add to hit a scoop to a scoop and 1/2 of your favorite protein powder, 1-2 tablespoons of peanut butter, and perhaps a tablespoon of flax, mix all of this together, and waaala! It will look pretty weird, but if you do it with a great tasting chocolate whey protein, it tastes awesome. Definitely give this one a shot. A lot of good calories in there and it doesn't take anymore than 5-10 minutes to make up.

Here's what I do:

1/2 cup oats
1 1/2 cups skim milk
2 scoops Optimum 100% Pure Whey, Chocolate.

Throw that all in a blender, hit liquify, and let it go.

Makes for a fast breakfast. It's not really thicker, but I like it better than making it hot.

Someone else on the boards posted this originally, I think, so I can't claim credit for it.

IS IT TRUE THAT OPTIMUM CHOC. TASTES DIFFERENT SOMETIEMES? I S EAS CHOCOLATE TATIER? AND THE EXP DATE IS 1 YEAR FROM NOW IN GNC AND I DUnNO//HOW FAST DOES POWDER GO NEWAYZ

I've never noticed any variance in the flavor of Optimum chocolate.

Personally, I think the EAS stuff is overpriced. I've tried a few other brands, and I still like the Optimum best.
