Hello all, I am knew to this site. I am new to enhancing. I am not new to gyms or natural stuff. I have been living in the gym since the age of 14 since I was allowed for football. I loved it. I then went into the service for 11 years. I was 5'10 weighing around 250 to 260. Was a slight beast with about 10 to 12% bf. Did everything natural per uncle sam.

Problem is, since I got out, in 2006, have been less motivated. I also just had bi lateral knee surgery in May. Havent been able to go back to work yet. I need help. I am also on a budget sadly.

I am currently 5'10 around 260-270. I am under 28% bf now and am missarable with looking in the mirror. I dont take shirt off anymore sadly, unless someone want to look at mini keg. Diet can be better also. I would like to get back to the way I was in the service, but I dont have 4 to 6 hours a day to live in the gym, and I am not being deployed to secret squirel areas, and going non stop.

So any advice for a 35 y/o would be greatly helpful. I want the gym bug again. No wait, I need the gym bug again. That is happiness.

Hey Bro, welcome to Elite!
Ok, first things first your BF is to high at 28% to consider AAS right now. My advice would be to focus on your diet and your training regime. You need to get your BF down to below 15% before you consider AAS.

I know that's probably not what you wanna hear but trust me the health risks involved at that level of BF far out way any potential benefit. To reap the benefits of AAS you need a good solid base to build on and your diet and training need to be on point.

Well shit. I havent been on point since I got out of the service. Well piss. So get around 15% bf and go from there?

Honestly Bro, that would be the best advice. Get yourself back in the gym and get the training underway. Focus on your diet and get that level down to below 15%. While doing that you'll start to develop a solid muscle base to build on.

AAS won't do anything for you right now you'll just be wasting your money.

You don't have the drive right now but once you start dieting and going to the gym, you will see the results coming and you will start feeling a lot better. If you dedicate yourself to keeping a spot on diet and hitting the gym, your overall well being will be much better. You will feel better about yourself and your drive to go to the gym and change the way you look will be back to how it was. Sounds like you have good genes and your muscle memory will take you a long way but you have to be really strict on your diet. Once you get to about 15% bf or under, then you can consider AAS but deff don't get into it before then. The risks are way too high at that bf% and you will regret it.

Look into a fat burner called Forged Burner. Its a favorite around here and is great in helping with ur motivation issues. Its by no means a miracle pill but is definitely a good source of energy to get u off the couch. Research diets using the Search drop down on top right. One I've had good results with the Paleo Diet. Also read up on Rick's thread on Intermittent Fasting. There's a lot of options out there. Set urself some goals like a couple lbs of fat/wk and track it best u can. If ur not making goals then change shit up and come to ef to bounce it off folks here. Good luck!

Yeah like everyone else get working on your diet start doing some cardio that your comfortable with and start killin it in the gym

Thanx for the heads up and advice. I will be checking back in here in abit. I know once I get the bug again I am golden. Just have to get the bug to bite me. So heres a solid question. How do you find yourself to get motivated with no workout partner? I know its a pain to ask for spots. And for the person spotting you, do they really know how to spot? or are they mirror looky lues..(spelling) I found it easier to be motivated with a partner. So for those with out partners, what gets you putting the left foot infront of the right foot?

I haven't had a workout partners in yrs. With that said I do know just about everyone in the free weights area when I'm at the gym. And a big reason I know them is because of asking for spots.
