ok im taking nlarge2 and ON's 100% whey protein.. and eating like a maniac(semi healthy food tho).. is there anything else i should do to gain weight... besides lifting im juss looking to gain now and cut later.. but im a real lean kid so i don't think i'll ever get fat looking..

If you are already very lean, you need to chow down. Don't be counting egg whites and shit. Concentrate on improving your squat, dead, bench, row, chins, and overhead press (all barbell/no machines) then eat everything in sight. Chow down, if it's a double Whopper or QPounder so be it - don't eat fast food and junk all the time but don't worry about it, tons of muscle can be put on eating less than ideal diets and frequently it is a lot harder to gain eating super clean (just hard to get that many clean calories in). If you find youself getting too fat, drop back a bit (of course some is to be expected in bulking). Once you lean out, chow again and push the weights up.

I disagree with the fast food. Sure it packs a lot of cals, but that shit is so unhealthy that it's not even worth it. Check out how much fat (and sat. fat) a Whopper or Big Mac has. Yeah, you'll pack on weight (mostly fat), but you're body will be paying the price down the road. Check out the documentary 'Super Size Me'.

I get why everyone is against say McDonalds, but I don't get why hamburgers get such a bad rap in general. I George Foremman up a half pound hamburger as one of my meals daily now and I'm not getting fat.

Depends what kind of beef you're using. If you're getting those pre-cooked patties, those are loaded with fats. Yeah, it may not get you fat, but it's not healthy. I personally like Turkey Burgers - they're lean and have a good amount of protein.

I think you need to reread my post. I don't know what you find obscene, wrong, or outdated but I think you are not reading correctly:

1) I didn't say live on fast food - I specifically said not to eat it all the time
2) What I meant was - don't worry about eating ultra-healthy all the time. For the purposes of gaining muscle it can make it a lot harder to consume the required calories.
3) No one has ever not gained muscle as a result of a moderate amount of fast food but not getting enough calories and protein will certainly screw your efforts. If you have any idea what some high caliber athletes eat, it would shock you. Talking about guys squatting 700 and jerking 480 overhead with absolutely massive thighs, back, and shoulders. Is it optimally healthy for longevity, No. Will it keep your from getting big, No. Can it serve to provide calories and protein, Yes.
4) I don't think anyone in their right mind argues with squats, deads, benches, rows etc...
5) If he starts to pack on too much fat while bulking he needs to cut his calories back (rare for a lean ecto build). You don't need to get bogged down by bullshit if you are lean, just common sense. I don't tell him to get obese or anything.

This guy is lean - he needs to eat more and concentrate on the big lifts. His purpose is to gain. I don't see how any of this is bad. My post is fairly clear - perhaps you misread it.
