Hey guys, my first post on here !
Well i'll start of with a general background, i'm 21 , 5'6 , 70kg.

I'm fairly muscular, my arms are muscular, pects and legs too. my problem is my stomach, it's pack with fat, however when flexing my abs, i really do feel strong muscles under the fat.

So right i'l get to the point. for the past year, i been looking after my diet ( Kind of ) well maintaining i suppoze, everyday id have one single meal ( Usually skinless grilled chicken or grilled shrimps ( not butter or oil ) ) . and i haven't changed a tiny bit. nor have i gained.

I recently rejoined the gym after stopping for about 5 years, ( I didn't do that much to begin with ) . so i'm trying to make the most out of it. I Do cardio for about 50 minutes , and that's fast walking , Speed 6.0 , i'm not sure if speed on all cardio machines are the same but thought i'd mention it, i can't run because i've been a smoker since i'm 13 , and well i get tired in seconds. I've cut down , and do plan to eventually quit. and i do weights as well, about 50-60 minutes, 2-3 group of muscles daily . ( Ex . chest + back )

now talking diet, my medical knowledge tells me that eating a single meal a day is bad, kills the metabolism , so i'm going to try incorporate 3 now, oatmeal with milk the morning, then at 2:00 id have an apple, 5:00 gym, 7:00 skinless chicken , 11-12:00 fruit ( i eat lots of pineapple ).

I want advice and pointing out if i'm doing anything wrong? Also is grilled shrimps a good alternative ( chicken daily is making me grow feathers! ) . and what other alternatives ?

Portions daily :
morning : Milk and oatmeal , a small bowl
noon : Apple
after gym meal : Full grilled skinless chicken , 500G with bones, so i'd say 400 without?
after meal : I have a mountain dew, ( i know it's a bad idea, but i have some sort of addiction )
night : 500g of sliced pineapple

Adding this would give me max 1400 calories? less probably?( i'm more than happy , i don't starve myself ) so 1200 calories, when an rda of 2500 for a day of intense work out, i should be doing really well right?

This was a long kind of um " question " , but i'm trying to really get it all at once, thanks so much to anyone willing to give me an opinion and some advice, and point out what i'm doing wrong, and what to do instead. Thanks so much!!!!

I don't take supplements either

you would be better off researching diet plans, finding one you like and adjusting it to your 'needs', then posting it up here for the guys to critique... this is just my opinion though, you might get more help if you put forth a little more effort :)

good luck

U don't feel like ur starving urself but u are starving. At 1200 cals with a decent amount of cardio u'll need to eat more if I want to lose. U need more protein clearly. I'd say target about 1800 calories if ur spending 1.5 yrs in the gym. Here's a basic day and it doesn't have to be exactly like this but u need to eat similar to this....
Breakfast - 5 egg whites, cup of oatmeal
Mid morning - Small amount of fruit and some almonds
Lunch - 2 chicken breasts, cup of broccoli
Mid afternoon - turkey sandwich, cup of brown rice (or sweet potato ).
Workout early evening
Post workout - 50gram protein shake
Dinner - 20 oz fish, cup of spinach or broccoli or some good veggie

That's really not that much food and actually not very strict, but u should be eating more like that. If u want to really drop pounds u'll eliminate breads, fruits, all sugar u can, pastas, potatoes, and switch to meats for protein and some fats and veggies for ur carbs.
