agree w/ chamomile tea...also maybe try a little milk or turkey (tryptophan content)...sometimes I try starting at the toes & conciously relax each body part all the way up...really works...never get to my shoulders before zzzz
I do that to mentally relax your self. I feel as if I'm shrinking inside my self, Bodyparts go numb to any kind of feeling ect.. I have never actually fallen asleep this way though, I get all the way up to my head and my eyes start moving a bit uncontrolled (feels weird), but I get stuck like in my brain (lol) its like ok now I feel like a small part of my brain is conciously awake because I'm actively seeking to shut my self down how do I shut my brain down into sleep when I'm thinking about doing it. Eventually I end up shifting sleeping postions and get knocked out of the weird self induced state, but then I don't try it again and fall asleep pretty soon since I'm so damn relaxed.
