her stats:
20-something
5'8"
125lbs
bf - ?, she is lean and skinny
goals: main areas of concentration for training/diet: she has no ass, needs some muscle here, wants her abs to come around, lose slight fat in inner thighs, build overall muscle and tone up.

diet now: sucks: need help here.
lifting: nothing: not sure what to start her on.
cardio: 30min on eliptical machine 3-4 x's a week

she has never lifted before, should she start on machines to understand the movements and what not then move to free weights?

thanx in advance...

little rage - i assume you lift? if so, you can show her proper form. no need to start on machines.

her exercises can be the same as yours - just with less weight. ask her how often she wants to be in the gym and then form a split for her - you can find a ton of different splits on these boards.

get her eating healthy with lots of protein to promote muscle growth.

since she's so thin already, have her cut down on cardio and concentrate on lifting and eating clean and she should start seeing results in no time.

the best idea would be to get her on this board so that she can check out the info herself. everything she needs to know about form, diet, splits, etc. etc. is all up here - she justs needs to start reading!

I agree. The boards provide help and motivation. I definitely started taking training more seriously when I got on here myself and didn't just listen to someone tell me what they were reading here. You should definitely show her the proper form at the gym... forget the machines (there's very few machines I use anymore).

Why don't you post up a day of her current diet? I don't recommend a magic combination of food that will melt fat away (damn, I wish it really existed); instead, I prefer to look at someone's current diet and recommend changes to that diet that will help meet the individual's needs.

BTW - without seeing her diet, most women are usually deficient in protein intake; increasing protein intake is usually one of the first things we recommend.

thanx for the help... karma to you 3:

yea found a nice split that might work for her, and came up with a diet that might be suitable for her too, now just need to find time to show her the exercises (since she's always busy). so no need with anymore help at this point.

thanx again.
