My Routine.............

Back Day.....here's last weeks routine.....think I should drop the tbar rows in favor of sr8 rows and start doing 5x5 on deads again?

TUESDAY Februrary 27 2007
WARMUP WARMUP WARMUP SET 1 SET 2 SET 3
T-BAR 2+30x10 250x10 2+50x4 2+30x10 2+10


DEADS 0x8 135x5 255x5 285x4


v barLAT PULLDOWN 140x8 140x8 160x3-4 - too hvy 130x4 110x8

Dbell row (high) bench 70x8 80x8 90x4 70x5


Wide pulls 110x12 120x10 120x10 130x8
 
Tbar rows are ok, just pick a row and get good at it.....deads, and anything else is more about progress than days/sets/reps.....try 285x6 this week, then next time try 290 for 4-6, once you get 6, do to 295.....something like that....just get better

Personally, I find chins much superior to lat pulldowns

would that be the same as trying 290 x 4 today and skipping the 285x6? Better for mass....
 
it really makes no difference.....long-term progress yields mass, not what you do tonight at the gym.....if you do 290x4 this week, and 295x4 next time and 300x4 next week....it doesn't matter....sets and reps are your constant, so you know if what you're doing is working, weight is the variable you manipulate.......just get better and better.
 
Now, just get better and don't give it another thought, all the cortisol your body releases from worrying will counteract the HRT, lol
 
I will do that...or at least try as 285 was a bitch.....also, could do something like this, 50%, 60%, 70%etc of let's say my 5 rep max is 265.
135x5 160x5 185x5 215x5 245x5 265x5

then if I get all those, add 1.02% to next week making it 270-270x5 as my max and working off that:
140 165 195 220 250 275
which would you do if you were me? the above or keep going with the 285-290x4?
