I've been meaning to post this.
The day before the wedding my sister called to let me know that the bridesmaids hadn't heard from the seamstress. That didn't sound right so I called her. She thought the wedding was the next week. None of the dresses were done, including my own (I'd planned all along to leave it at her shop until the wedding day so I didn't get it dirty). I was pissed off but I'm also laid back so I just thought "it'll work out". She called me later that afternoon and they were all done.
So on the day of the wedding, 2.5 hours before pictures were taken, I stopped at her shop to get the dresses (on the way to hair/makeup). The girls' dresses were done but my dress wasn't in sight. She said "that's your dress right there with the maid dresses". Umm...it was a heavily beaded strapped cream gown. That was not my dress. I was not ready to kill but still under control. I finally spotted my dress across the room in the same place I'd left it a month earlier. She said "no, that's not your dress because this dress has your tags on it". I managed not to smack her, she realized she had REALLY screwed up, and she said she'd get it done.
I made one of my girls pick it up for me when the lady called to say it was ready 1.5 hours later. It fit fine, the bustle was great, I thought "what a mess but it's over". Nope. 2 of the bridesmaid dresses were 3-4 sizes too small. By that point I was almost crying. It took multiple people to force them into the gowns. They were in pain (both having bruises days later from the busts being so tight). Pictures were now delayed at my 2 D cup bridesmaids were falling out of their dresses to the point of being XXX. 45 minutes before my wedding, my dad was in a tux in a department store just loudly saying "HELP- I need shawls". lol
All worked out but I was SO pissed off. I paid her $150 to destroy $400 worth of dresses. AND she altered someone elses dress! What if it was too short? That's my vent that I've meant to post. Everything else was peachy, but all this talk of bridesmaid dresses made me think of this.![Smile :) :)](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png)
