My condolences on your loss. I had to put down my 13 year old pit in 2000. It sucked for the family. She was a member of the family, a protector and a friend. We all miss her and we put up a collage of pictures of her with some words I wrote about her. There is a knot in my throat as I type this remembering her.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Loosing a pet is never easy, especially one that you grew up with. We have to be thankful that it was quick and she wasn't in pain. I'm sorry you didn't get to see her before she was put down, but I also know how hard it is to be the one to take a loved pet to be put down...neither way is better...they both suck. I had to do that to my little dog a couple of years ago.

I cried all weekend.. I couldn't believe it.

Just remember it is better for the dog, they do not suffer anymore.
