Milk... Tons of conflicting opinions...

I also drink the Hood "atkins approved" skim milk. Has 3g of carbs per cup. But the last carton I got they remived the Atkins label, and reduced protien content from 12g to 8g. Not such a big deal but at $6/gal, I want all I can get from it.

1 cup 16oz Skim with two scoops optimun choc or vanilla protien powder (2 scoops = 55g of pro.) ED either post workout or before bed.

I have been drinking milk (skim) for years.

People here keep commenting on milk sugar, lol....
Is "Lactose" dudes, probably the slowest digesting sugar, thats why
I never take as a PWO shake......

unless you are lactose intolerant is prbly the best sugar to have...

If there is one thing worries me bout milk is all the shit they give
to the cows these days.....

If you're worried about the hormones and antibiotics in regular milk then go the organic route. A gallon of of Organic Valley milk is like 6 bucks which is expensive, but it is very good for you.

I've noticed my sinuses have cleared up too since I started drinking organic milk.

I'm cutting right now and use 1% organic milk. GOOD stuff.

70% of the world population is also lactose intollerent, which means they CANNOT digest it. If you use lactaid , then the slow digesting carb becomes a blood sugar raising bomb. Lactose is glucose + galactose bound together. This means that it's a disaccharaide. 2 simple sugars bound together. The enzyme in your stomach (for the 30% that produce this enzyme) called lactase is used to break the bond between the 2 simple sugars. Once broken , the 2 simple sugars will have a high insulin response. So using milk with lactaid in conjunction with r+ala makes sense.

So basically drop 3 lactaid pills in your milk and let it sit overnight. The lactose will be broken and then treat milk no different then any simple sugar

I'd rather eat yogurt

Taste better and less lactose
