Milk... Tons of conflicting opinions...

I don't drink it at all. I like to stay lean. There is too much sugar for me in there.
Milk can also make your prostate gland swell if you drink a lot of it!

I personally group it into the "sweets" or "dessert" category. One & 1/2 cup a day max. And that's not even real milk. It's Hood's "Carb Countdown". Not as calorie dense, super low in sugar and very high is protein.

Milk gives me roaring gas attacks...I used to drink tons of it anyway and torture my friends with my atomic bombs, but in the past 5-10 years, I have been using lactaid, and not that much of it either.

I've searched this board and it seems hard to nail down any solid information about milk, seems that most everything are opinion (with a few good exceptions). What I'd like to know is how many of you guys use milk when on a bulking cycle? If you DO use milk, how much a day and what kind (whole, 2%, 1%, or skim). Thanks for throwing in your .02! -11b

Milk is a terrific protein source in a balanced diet. Reducing the fat level is heart and calorie smart.

Old school used to mix protein drink with it ... Larry Scott for example.

If you get a negative digestive reaction, try the Carb Countdown or Lactose Free.

Exactly, too many carbs and it can make you bloat. Milk is for babies, what Arnold used to say!

i drink 2% with my protien shakes. this is during my bulking cycle though. during cutting i cut down on the milk considerably. but bulking i drink 1/2 gallon per day.

I've always drinked skim milk.

if i have cereal with my breakfast, i always put skim milk in it. Usually a big bowl of honey nut cheerios or with hot oatmeal.

i also add skim milk to my protein shakes..usually about 12 oz...

i probably average per day about 20 oz (two and a half cups) of skim milk.....that is not a whole lot though
