Martial Artists...how do u train??

i was just wondering how u train when u have classes a few times a week.

what art? what days do u train what?..do u lift and train ur art on the same day???
 
ive trained weights and kung fu on the same day (note went straight from the gym doing arms to kung-fu and was asked to do 100 push ups :( )

not a pleasurable experience, but i may try it when i start bulking again as ill have more energy :)

as for in the gym....compund movements just like evryone else, im interested as to what everyone else puts down as im planning to change my routine soon. but yeah, as explosive as possible

at the mo

weights tues, thurs and sat

kungfu mon, fri and sometimes wed

cardio sometimes on a saturday, and i walk a lot in the mornings everyday,

i be cutting now :).....(note ive lost the weight and increased strength so i think im doing enough cardio, i think the diets been more responsible)
 
My workout is like this:

Weights Mon, Wed, FRi
Workout 1-shoulders,tris,chest and abs

Workout 2- Back,Biceps,forearms and calves

Workout 3 -legs and abs

I use 12,10,8,6,4 pyramid rep scheme and stick to a power lifting type of workout meaning that bench,deads and squats mean alot to me.

I train in Submission/bjj 3x a week on tuesday thursday and saturday:)

im soon ging to train bjj on tuesday thursday and saturday

i think im gonna lift mon-tues thursday-friday

all in the morning

glutes-quads abs monday
chest back-tuesday

hams shoulders traps-deads- thursday
arms-friday
 
I train about everyday, but I'm crazy. I lift Monday wensday and friday. Bjj about everyday ( I at least roll everyday whether I learn new stuff or no) I box tues, thurs, and do muaythai and mma the same days I lift.

I also try to do cardio everyday except sunday for at least 20 minutes. BUt I fight and you may not want ot do that
 
Depends on if Im dieting but normal week..

MON 06:30 chest shoulders biceps
MON 19:00 - 22:00 teaching TKD K.Boxing Self Dense
MON 22:00 - 23:00 fight training

TUE 06:30 cardio abs stretching

WED 06:30 back triceps
WED 19:00 - 22:00 teaching TKD K.Boxing Self Dense
WED 22:00 - 23:00 fight training

THU 06:30 cardio abs stretching

FRI 06:30 legs

SAT road work + bag work

SUN squad training
 
good choice on the brazilian jiu jitsu. I train for bjj mon,tues,wed,thurs, and sometimes just grapple a little bit on saturday.

I lift weights between classes in the morning.
Mon - Chest and Bi's
Tues - Back and Tri's
Thurs- Shoulders and abs
Fri - Legs

Oh yeah, who is your instructor and what school are you going to? I'm originally from NJ and when I visit over breaks, I need a place to train at.
 
i didn't start yet.. i will start after wresling season is over...

The instructor's name is Jeff Miller

Livingston martial arts academy. Classes are in Florum Park
