I've been adding some peanuts to my "before bed" protein shake and munching on some veggies (broc/cauli/celery) w/ fat free dip. Then, I usually crash with 20 minutes......see any problems with this? Haven't noticed any difference on the scale.....
Peanuts are a great before bed snack, IMO. I have a 1/4 cup or so. Just watch the salt, if you are concerned about water retention - I have the roasted non-salted kind.
If I'm out of peanuts, a tablespoon of natural peanut butter is nice too.
I'm munching on this about 10pm and up around 5am to do cardio....only downfall is sometimes I feel "bloated" from the veggies.....can't like with my nuts though....1/4cup? Geez...I'm talking 2-3 big handfuls...but, they're shelled, so it's a little less....probably a cup.......
