Ladies: What is the best birth control?

Ladies,

My GF is on birth control, she is taking a shot which is progesterone once every 12 weeks. I did not see any estrogen in the ingredients. Her attitude has been poor since she has been taking this crap.

I am wondering what is the best birth control, one that does not kill sex drive, make u fat, or do anything else that is undesirable?

It's hard to say what will react best for her body, it's trial and error to find the right one. Did she specifically pick her current form of BC or was it suggested by a doctor?

I think the DOC suggested it.. She was just going to try something else but I was kind of hoping something worked better than all the rest

I'd think only her Dr. (or a different one) can suggest other methods since he know her history well enough..

Every woman is different when it comes to Bc. What works for one woman may not work for the next. I personally have been on about 6 different forms due to many complications so it really all depends on her.
I can only make suggestions based on my experience but she may not receive the same sides or troubles as I did.
