Kentucky Training Day, July 19, 2003

b fold the truth

Elite Strongman
Platinum
Well, it is time to use the summer to get ready for the contest on the way this fall. I know that many of you are getting ready for NASS Nationals as well as several other contests taking place in August. Many of you have never touched a Strongman implement in your life and would just love to give it a whirl for fun.

We welcome EVERYONE here to train in July no matter what level you are, if you have never done Strongman before, or how strong you are. Come and train with us in Murray, Kentucky on July 19th at about 12:00 noon.

I know that several people are getting ready for:

I encourage everyone to use this Kentucky Training Day to help kick off their fall training preparation, to test yourself against some other strongmen before the contest, and to gain valuable information about the events and training from others. These training days have been very valuable for everyone as well as a really good time with friends.

I have nearly all of the equipment for all of these contests for everyone to train on...and we always have fun and learn a lot. The video camera and the still cameras will be running all day long.

In April we had 21 people here at my home with about 10 or more of them being from www.elitefitness.com. I hope to have similar numbers (or more) this next time. Here is a link, with pics, from the last training day we had in April. http://boards.elitefitness.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=228433

I have lots of toys to play with and hope to have a few more by then. Here is a brief rundown of the toys that I have to play with for that day:

Stones (160, 185, 190, 230, 245, 265, 285, 310, 320, 345, 365, 415)
Conan's Wheel
Viking Press
4 tires (550, 650 combine tire, 675, 1,000)
Farmers (thick bar, rolling handles, cylinders, plate loaded)
Thick Bars (2”, 2 3/8”, 3”)
Log (8.5”)
Sled
Harness for pulling
Super Yoke
170 Keg
5 Husafell Stones
C o C Grippers
Hercules Hold apparatus
Rope for arm over arm pull
Deadlift Hold set up

I also hope to have several other implements set up by then as well as a better idea what events to expect for NASS Nationals and what everyone else is getting ready for.

I encourage anyone and everyone to come to Kentucky on July 19th and be a part of our Kentucky Training Day. It is a great place to promote your contest, your organization, or even your equipment if you make equipment to sell or have anything that you would like to trade/sell that day to other strongmen.

Most of all, it is a time to spend with a great group of friends. A great time to learn.

I do have a local guy here who is making equipment for me and I must say that it is top-quality and at VERY good prices. Everything that he has made for me looks like it came out of a magazine or off of the internet but for a MUCH cheaper price. I believe that he will have my power rack/monolift set up here that day as well as a few of his logs, farmers, grip tools, deadlift assister, and many other implements. If you need anything built…it would be a great time to have it made and pick it up while you are here.

I hope to see everyone in Kentucky in July!!!! Please email me your thoughts about this Training session so that I can send you directions as well as motel accommodations (very reasonable in this area).

well........ i really dont have the money. between paying for my new membership, paying for my implements from Kingc_79 i had to empty the little remaining left for this. There is a ton of other stuff, not just support gear, but chains and stuff i would like to buy, but i only got a few. I bought the neuprene elbow sleeves and knee sleeves from jackyls gym. i got a lever belt from house of pain with chalk. and some metal wrist wraps from elitefts.com

so an easy 200bucks gone. but thats ok, i have been looking at this stuff for almost 2 months, the contest just gave me an excuse to buy them now. i really want to get that back support like b has, that and some chains.
