Kelly's (aka Sweet_Bitch) Log

I'm not a shrink, but I think you need to get your head in a good place. It will help you feel better about yourself and give you some additional motivation. There's a really good book called What Smart Women Know that I think you would really like.

Don't forget to post your meals here, that will also keep you in check. It's a good thing that your calories are staying low. Just be sure your getting the right nutrients.

Good luck - I'm confident you have what it takes to do this. Just make up your mind and go for it! Good luck!! :)

So the plan was that I was supposed to lose 5 lbs per week, according to my husband. (Rolls eyes....) That has not happened. In fact, I've lost exactly 0 pounds. This does not bother me, as I'm sure that the weight loss will happen. I'm eating good-not perfect-but as good as my schedule/life will allow. Workouts have been good, actually pushing myself REALLY hard in the gym. Cardio now includes running-which I HATE, but feel really good when I'm done. I'm not lifting as much as previously, but I'm doing a far more structured routine. I'm also taking handfulls of supplements.

So I ask, should I be concerned that I'm not losing pounds?

That depends....how long have you been "really" trying and how are your clothes fitting?

About a month in total..."really" trying for 2 solid weeks. Clothes are still fitting the same I think. I haven't noticed any real difference.

You should have probably seen "some" kind of weight loss in two weeks. I went back to the first post on your thread and you state that your bf is high. If that's the case, your diet is clean, and your doing cardio and weight training, you should be seeing a change.

However, since your diet and training schedules are not posted, I would be uneducated at helping you with whatever the problem might be.

What is your body type? Do you gain mostly thru the mid section or in the butt and thighs?

You must be from Indiana? Read your location. Anyway, my diet and training schedule isn't worth posting:) I don't have the discipline that most of these girls have. What I mean is, it's clean, but not "perfect". I eat whole foods-chicken, pork once a week. Veggies. Little to no fruit. Almonds. One cheat day, never out of control. I hate eggs and protein shakes. Training is 30 minutes cardio 3-4 times a week w/ lifting. Alternate between legs and upper body.

Body type? What are the choices? I'm fat all over:) Not one area over the other. Just your basic disgusting pig....ha ha. I guess I gained more in my mid-section then anywhere else, but my ass and thighs are still up there size wise.

Well, Kelly, you need to get your diet down. That is basic and very important. The exercise will help, but diet is key. You have to have to will power, or it won't happen.

My diet is down, just not as structured as some. I'm taking in 1500 calories a day or less of clean food. I've cut my calorie intake in half.

ARe you sure about that? I would suggest using a FREE online website such as www.fitday.com to SEE what you are REALLY eating/not eating.

At one point - I thought my diet was "down" and was wondering why I wasn't losing weight - then started using fitday & it was a real Eye opener! I was taking in a lot more than I thought!

I'm in the process of setting that up but I am VERY careful about what I eat. I write everything down when I'm at work and always count EVERYTHING.
