Kelly's (aka Sweet_Bitch) Log

New member
Alright, I'm jumping on the wagon here and starting my own log. Need to be accountable to someone, might as well as be myself, and you fine people. So here's the facts:

26 years old
170 lbs
5'5"
Body Fat %-far too high to measure:)
Size 16 currently-that will have to do for measurements, as they scare me far to much to post right now:)

The goal: lose 30 pounds by January 1st.

The plan: 1500-1700 calories per day. Cardio 5 days a week-beginning at 20 minutes per day and working up to 45. Strict "diet" of chicken, fish (which I hate), vegatables (which I love). One cheat day per week-alcohol will be allowed on this day but will **try** to stay away from beer. I'm also going to cycle Clen and T-Rex at 2 week incriments.

My intention is to use this as a way to track my progress, what I eat everyday, and workouts.

So here we go.....

What a better way to be accountable than post up pics (head/faceless) and your measurements? :verygood:

Since you will not fail, you only have positive changes to look forward to, week to week ;)

(was never that good at reverse psych...)

Good luck S_B...

P.S. - From what I gather from the ladies, I would hold off on the clen & get your diet & Training in order first... you can do this without it

:rose:

8/23/05

Day not going so well....not too bad though. No cardio this AM as overslept. To eat so far:

1C. raw carrots
1 South Beach Lunchable type thingy
1 raw red pepper

So that's not bad-haven't eaten as often as I should, but work is CRAZY. Tongiht I have a business dinner at PF Chang's. Going to stick to something off their training menu and no alcohol. Damn business dinners.....

Well, I didn't have any alcohol-big accomplishment!! But I didn't order anything off the training menu-not so good. But I stuck to Chicken w/ almonds and brown rice. Had one small lettuce wrap. One 1 inch piece of some banana dessert. Overall-huge success for me:)

welcome!!!

I have to agree with bunny the clen will not do anything for you but possibly give you a headache until you are under at least 18%... some will say 15% but everyone is different...

just keep the diet clean that is the most important thing!!! its sad but true that its only 30% of what you do in the gym and 70% of what you put in your mouth.. so that means you could work like a mad man in the gym but if you are not eating right you will not see any progress...

consistency!!! that is what will bring you to your goal!! the only diet or program that works is the one that works for you!!!

Welcome.....looks like your off to a good start by posting and keeping accountable! The t-rex is great...but I would hold off on the clen until your bf is really low and you are trying to get that last little bit off..clen will not work for you at this point and you will be wasting your money as well as feeling like shit from the clen...try a clean diet with lots of exercise for now!

Yesterday: Not bad, not great!!

20 minutes HARD cardio in the AM.

Food wasn't bad-carrots for breakfast (BUSY day)
AM Snack: Fruit
Lunch: McDondalds happy meal-I know, I know.
PM Snack: Carrots
Dinner: Almond Chicken

The McDonalds thing was stupid but good for me, as far as what I ate. My new branch is in a Wal-Mart. McDonald's wanted to bring us all lunch and while everyone else order BigMac's and Quarter Pounders, I had a happy meal.

OMG!! What a coincidence!!! I was your exact age/weight/size when I started my fitness journey...... Thus I know it can be done & that you can do it!! Good luck and if you have any questions - please ask!!

FYI -- avoiding the alcohol is hard at first - but it does get easier - hang in there!!

Really?? My size? And you've got a show coming up? I've seen the pics of you in your suits...OMG!!! How long as it been since you started?

Yep!! I was 170lbs in 1996 when I got divorced.....it was then I decided it was time to make a change. I started slowly - my exercise constantly evolved (started with walking, then kickboxing, then joined a gym, etc). It's been a constant evolution and upping of the challenges.

So far, so good today. I missed cardio this morning...again...could NOT wake up but have eaten GREAT:) Carrots for breakfast, salad for lunch. Time for a snack but I'm not all that hungry....

Just a suggestion - you should have a protein first thing in the morning.....like eggs or protein powder stirred into your oatmeal....and top that salad with some chicken....

Yesterday was a miserable failure.

And the crappy/cool thing is-I actually feel really bad about that.

I need to find someplace that sells will power:)

Today....no cardio....HUNGOVER.

I'm back...personal life issues. Yes, they get in the way of everything else but things have calmed down now. I ordered Levorex, Sesamax, and Cardio Breeze-received them last night. Used the Cardio Breeze this morning-didn't notice much of a difference. Started the others after cardio, not feeling tweeked or anything so that's a plus. Went back to the gym last week-couldn't lift my arms for 4 days...ha ha ha. Eating has been good but not perfect, haven't lost a pound. Oh, and my home scale is about 10 pounds off so I'm starting out at 180, not 170. Therefore I now have 40 pounds to lose and according to my husbands time table, 3 months to do it in. Hell of a goal and with little to no faith in myself, hard to imagine actually making it. I actually can't see myself losing any weight, as I haven't done anything but gain it for the last 3 1/2 years. That's not entirely true-I did lose some weight but I haven't been able to lose more then 10 pounds. I have no will power, no drive, and no ability to stick to anything weight-loss wise. If I am unable to lose the weight I will be getting divorced, which although I don't want to happen, I resent the threat. I resent it enough to basically self-defeat anything I start. It's the same arguement that fat women all over the world make-if he really loved me the weight wouldn't matter. I'm not obese but I'm fat and he doesn't like that. And if you factor in all of the other things that have been going on between him and I (which I can't get into as he will read this) I am the EXACT opposite of motivated by certain actions. I want to lose the weight for myself as I'm not happy with myself physically but the more he pushes and threatens the less I want to do it. Fucked up I know and no doubt in my own head but a serious challenge just the same. I've considered just leaving him to avoid the entire situation, if I cut him and his demands out maybe I'd actually be able to lose the weight. not to mention that I may not have such a low/negative self-esteem if I didn't have to see the way that he looks at me or other such things. It's hard to get motivated when you already start out feeling like a worthless failure.

No friggin kidding, if your damn husband (yes I said it!) threats you or pushes you away you aren't going to want to do it! I f*cking hate men like that (yup I said it again, and I honestly hope he does f*cking read this). I'm sorry but your husband is a damn idiot, and hope to god he has a killer body, and looks like Vin Diesel.

You are not going to lose weight because your man wants you to, it just isn't going to happen. Huney you'll lose the weight if you truly want to, it's got to come from you. I'm sure you are a beauitful woman and your husband should love you for the beauitful person you are, and if you're happy at your weight then that should be good enough for him. You need to be happy with yourself.

Yes it's great to have a beauitful body, but beauty is only skin deep, which fades over time. Inner beauty is what truly makes someone beauitful.

You are not a failure or worthless, you can accomplish anything you put your heart and mind to, and we are here to support you :rose:

Kelly-

Do not let the actions of your silly husband determine how YOU feel about yourself. As 24K said the weight will not come off until YOU are REALLY ready to make a change.

My mate had NO ISSUES at all with me being heavy , he felt there was more of me to love , and in a weird way this enabled me to not be concerned with my size. I would tell myself my man loved me no matter what , so let's eat :) :RADAR

And it wasn't until I got tired of looking at myself , that I started the road to good health , and even though there is less of me he still likes what he see's.

Your husband has his own issues that he is projecting on to you , don't let him win by getting down on yourself. As I always say , you have to take care of yourself FIRST , if you don't , you can't be of help to anyone else.

Hang in there , and be your BIGGEST SUPPORTER :bigkiss:

He's not a bad guy and in his defense he did warn me years ago that he would not be with a fat girl. Not that he's right, he's just carrying out what he told me before. And he does love other things about me, this just happens to be the most important and while I may not agree, I married him. And yes, he made the choice to marry me (I looked the same when we got married) but I did tell him I would lose the weight. He had put on quite a bit himself and he lost it-with NO pressure from me mind you. He made up his mind and did it, which I'm proud of him for. I can respect the fact that he isn't happy with the way that I look, after all, it's hard to be married to someone that physically repulses you. (No, he hasn't said that.) I just wish I didn't let his attitude affect mine so much. I suppose that my self image isn't truly his fault. I'm sure that if I sat down with a shrink they would tell me that I'm projecting my unhappiness on to him. Maybe that's true, like I said, I just wish I could stop letting his attitude affect me.

And no, he doesn't look VinDiesel. He's far from ugly, but he's no Vin:)

So far, so good. Only lifted twice this week, no other time. Worked 3 11+ hour days, but I did start the Levorex, Sesamax, Cardio Breeze, and T-Rex. Cardio Breeze seems to be pretty cool-one didn't do shit but two work nicely. No sides from the Levorex or Sesamax that I can tell. My appetite has been out of control in the afternoons, but that may not have anything to do w/ either of those. Calorie intake has been good-less then 1500 all week. Up to 30 minutes of cardio-got in 3 days. Not great, but far more then I was doing:) Tomorrow is cheat day which means a glass of wine....YIPPIE!!!!

I'm not a shrink, but I think you need to get your head in a good place. It will help you feel better about yourself and give you some additional motivation. There's a really good book called What Smart Women Know that I think you would really like.

Don't forget to post your meals here, that will also keep you in check. It's a good thing that your calories are staying low. Just be sure your getting the right nutrients.

Good luck - I'm confident you have what it takes to do this. Just make up your mind and go for it! Good luck!! :)

So the plan was that I was supposed to lose 5 lbs per week, according to my husband. (Rolls eyes....) That has not happened. In fact, I've lost exactly 0 pounds. This does not bother me, as I'm sure that the weight loss will happen. I'm eating good-not perfect-but as good as my schedule/life will allow. Workouts have been good, actually pushing myself REALLY hard in the gym. Cardio now includes running-which I HATE, but feel really good when I'm done. I'm not lifting as much as previously, but I'm doing a far more structured routine. I'm also taking handfulls of supplements.

So I ask, should I be concerned that I'm not losing pounds?

That depends....how long have you been "really" trying and how are your clothes fitting?

ScorpioGirl said:

About a month in total..."really" trying for 2 solid weeks. Clothes are still fitting the same I think. I haven't noticed any real difference.

You should have probably seen "some" kind of weight loss in two weeks. I went back to the first post on your thread and you state that your bf is high. If that's the case, your diet is clean, and your doing cardio and weight training, you should be seeing a change.

However, since your diet and training schedules are not posted, I would be uneducated at helping you with whatever the problem might be.

What is your body type? Do you gain mostly thru the mid section or in the butt and thighs?

You must be from Indiana? Read your location. Anyway, my diet and training schedule isn't worth posting:) I don't have the discipline that most of these girls have. What I mean is, it's clean, but not "perfect". I eat whole foods-chicken, pork once a week. Veggies. Little to no fruit. Almonds. One cheat day, never out of control. I hate eggs and protein shakes. Training is 30 minutes cardio 3-4 times a week w/ lifting. Alternate between legs and upper body.

Body type? What are the choices? I'm fat all over:) Not one area over the other. Just your basic disgusting pig....ha ha. I guess I gained more in my mid-section then anywhere else, but my ass and thighs are still up there size wise.

Well, Kelly, you need to get your diet down. That is basic and very important. The exercise will help, but diet is key. You have to have to will power, or it won't happen.

My diet is down, just not as structured as some. I'm taking in 1500 calories a day or less of clean food. I've cut my calorie intake in half.

ARe you sure about that? I would suggest using a FREE online website such as www.fitday.com to SEE what you are REALLY eating/not eating.

At one point - I thought my diet was "down" and was wondering why I wasn't losing weight - then started using fitday & it was a real Eye opener! I was taking in a lot more than I thought!

I'm in the process of setting that up but I am VERY careful about what I eat. I write everything down when I'm at work and always count EVERYTHING.

Well then I'd put all you wrote down into fitday to see where the #'s add up. And 2 weeks isn't a lot of time - give it more time to see changes.

That's what I'm thinking. Last time around it was probably a month before I saw any real changes. I'm older now and my metabolism isn't like it was when I was 21. Things take more time now:(

Is it possible to lose 5lbs a week?

I have my calorie deficit set now at 1000 per day (500 thru exercise/500 thru diet) and that allows me to lose 2lbs a week , if all goes well :)

I can't imagine going any lower to get to 5lbs a week?

What is your game plan to achieve this? :worried:

Nah, her husband told her that's what she SHOULD be losing.

I'm sure you could do it - loose 5 lbs of water weight that is - & risk loosing muscle, screwing up many other things

KELLY - Hello hunny :) ?

I'm here, I'm here....no more internet at work so not as much posting as before:( Did I fall off the wagon? Sort of. Yes. Last weekend went to Napa for my anniversary/birthday. It was wonderful but I think I consumed somewhere around 35,000 calories:) This past week hasn't been the greatest. Only two days of cardio-no 3-can't remember. Diet not in check as am hopeless loser.

Actually going through logs right now trying to come up with a diet. Have determined that a VERY structured diet of food prepared and measured out before hand may be the best thing for me. SO now I have new questions....

OK, so there's some formula of what percentage of fat, carbs, and protein you should take in...what is it? I can't find it. I really liked Scorpiogirl's diet-parts of it-but my husband says it's too much fat. What would it cost me to have one of you just design a diet for me??? :) It seems no matter what I always make the wrong choices!!!!

Don't worry - it takes a while to get the hang of it. YOU ARE NOT A LOSER!! And tell your hubby to STFU.............and train........ And if he's going to be a negative nilly - then tell him I SAID to plain ole STFU!!

What do you weigh currently?

Alright....been doing research and reading logs. Here's the new more detailed plan of action:

1500 calories derived from a 40 carbs/40 protein/20 fats or 150 g/150 g/33 g.

My proposed diet is:

8:15 am
1/2 c oatmeal
1 Pria shake
(265 cal/?/?/?-no nutrional info on the shake yet)

10:00 am
8 oz brown rice
1 c raw red peppers
(280 cal/58/6/2)

1:00 pm
6 oz chicken
4 oz sweet potato
(300 cal/14/49/4)

5:00 pm
Not quite sure what to put here yet...fresh veggie's I think

8:00 pm
6 oz beef tenderloin
1 c green beans
(400 cal/10/50/18)

What I have here makes up 1,245 calories, 95 g carbs, 108 g protein, and 25 g fat. This is without the specific shake info and the 5:00 pm feeding:) Any input? Keep in mind, these are foods that I like and think that I could stick to eating.

It will cost you nothing. This site is free with TONS of info to help you achieve your goals, you just have tolook and adjust the diets to meet your goals.

^^ Let me know how many sources/ideas/facts /links/posts /pics etc. that you would like so you (and he) can understand that Healthy fat is essential in your diet ...

The only way to find out what works for YOU is to try it. A 40/30/30 might in fact work for you, cause you're getting enough fats to keep you full & satisfied, hence not resulting in unscheduled cheats/waivering/binge/'falling off the wagon' etc., but I feel you are too worried about what your hubby thinks.

I want to help you, and know nothing of your personal business other than what you've posted. I stick to what you say about your diet and your goals and think of how to get you there.

Do NOT take this as me attacking you. I TRULY want to help and care about your goals. I care about all the ladies on here... :rose:

I want to see you happy and losing weight for you and your health & emotional gain. :rose:

OMG I want to kick your husband right in his ass!!! I would love to get your husband in the gym! :velvett:

You need to add some protein to your 10am meal.

Do you like cottage cheese?

How about a salad with some chicken for you 5pm meal.

40 protein/30 carbs/30 fats is great for a cutting diet.

How much do you weigh? You calories should be 10 -12 x your bodyweight.

Just the fact that you're back and posting says a HELLUVA LOT about your character. Kudos to you for having the strength and determination to get back on track.

Believe me, I've been there, done that for years until I found this site. Even after that, it took me awhile to get in the groove. You are not a hopeless loser. So what if you occasionally make the "wrong" choices? Anyone who says they don't is a liar - we all do. It's just a matter of telling yourself you'll do better next time.

You just have to decide to do it for you - not your husband or anyone else. Knowing nothing of your personal life, I will not make any comments or judgements. We all have our own problems and the only people who know the whole story are the two involved. I finally faced my demons and decided the H needed to go but that was me. Good luck and I'm glad you found the inner strength to make it back here. These ladies are great and will definitely help.

What I was doing that caused the fats to be so high was a low carb diet. If you do a low carb diet you HAVE to have higher fats. But good ones.

I've since jumped off the low carb diet and am changing it up a bit. Someone said it before me....do a search on diets. Something tells me "hubby" doesn't know shit about the different diets out there! - or what's best for YOU!

Gain your own knowledge and go with it. It's hard to put your trust in someone who tries so hard to break you down day after day. Do it for yourself. You'll get it right one way or another. It just takes a little practice and figuring out what works for you.

It's good to see you back!!!! Good luck!:)

#1 - when are you going to sleep?? If you're going to sleep at 9pm you're good with your last meal being @ 8pm - if later, then I'd suggest reducing your beef portion at 8pm to 3-4 oz or switch it to fish or chicken & having a protein + a fat before bed, such as: cottage cheese + almonds or a protein shake + 1 tblsp. All Natural PB.

#2 - If you find yourself hungry during the day, etc you may want to consider upping the fat % - age to 30% of your calories.

1/14 C green & wax beans

Totals for the day:

1049 calories/124 g carbs/100 g protein/18 g fat (44%/40%/16%)

Not bad, although I think I'm hungry now since I haven't had a T-rex in awhile. Energy level is great today, could be due to the supplements.

I go to bed around 10:00 most nights. Why the change based on bed time?

That is exactly what I'm going to do should that be the case:)

Thanks!!

What happens is if you go a looooong time without food (like @ sleep) your body can enter a catabolic state, ie burn your muscle off for sustanence. So if you stop eating at 8pm, go to actual sleep @ 10-11pm & say, get up @ 7am, do whatever then eat @ say 9am that's almost 12 hours without food!! Too long....

So - say you go to sleep around 10:30pm......Again @ your 8pm meal, I'd reduce the portion of steak (6oz is a LOT of steak anyway) down to about
3-4 oz or substitute chicken. Then around 10pm have 1/4 cup of whole raw unsalted almonds OR some cottage cheese topped with almonds OR a protein shake + 1 tblsp ANPB or Flax Oil - basically you want Protein + Fat before sleep.

Good Lord!!!! Keeping up on this EVERY day is hard-the log I mean. No internet allowed at work and my laptop died...

And look at this....Plat for a week for being here a year. Yippie:)!!!

So....cardio is up to 40 minutes. On the ELLIPTICAL!!!!!! FUCK YEAH-GO ME!!!! Did NOT think that was possible as I am fat and out of shape. Way proud of myself. ;) Diet is still far from perfect but am playing little games with myself to help build self-control. Figured if it works on my employees, it has to work on me...sad, huh? So today's game was if I could get past the Oreo cookies in the checkout line then I could have the Diet Coke w/ Lime. Kelly-1. Oreo's-0. Go me.

So far I'm down 10 pounds. Thing is, my clothes fit exactly the same. Guess I best start going to the gym and lifting.

That's it for now....later!!
