Kelly's (aka Sweet_Bitch) Log

Just the fact that you're back and posting says a HELLUVA LOT about your character. Kudos to you for having the strength and determination to get back on track.

Believe me, I've been there, done that for years until I found this site. Even after that, it took me awhile to get in the groove. You are not a hopeless loser. So what if you occasionally make the "wrong" choices? Anyone who says they don't is a liar - we all do. It's just a matter of telling yourself you'll do better next time.

You just have to decide to do it for you - not your husband or anyone else. Knowing nothing of your personal life, I will not make any comments or judgements. We all have our own problems and the only people who know the whole story are the two involved. I finally faced my demons and decided the H needed to go but that was me. Good luck and I'm glad you found the inner strength to make it back here. These ladies are great and will definitely help.

What I was doing that caused the fats to be so high was a low carb diet. If you do a low carb diet you HAVE to have higher fats. But good ones.

I've since jumped off the low carb diet and am changing it up a bit. Someone said it before me....do a search on diets. Something tells me "hubby" doesn't know shit about the different diets out there! - or what's best for YOU!

Gain your own knowledge and go with it. It's hard to put your trust in someone who tries so hard to break you down day after day. Do it for yourself. You'll get it right one way or another. It just takes a little practice and figuring out what works for you.

It's good to see you back!!!! Good luck!:)

Alright....been doing research and reading logs. Here's the new more detailed plan of action:

1500 calories derived from a 40 carbs/40 protein/20 fats or 150 g/150 g/33 g.

My proposed diet is:

8:15 am
1/2 c oatmeal
1 Pria shake
(265 cal/?/?/?-no nutrional info on the shake yet)

10:00 am
8 oz brown rice
1 c raw red peppers
(280 cal/58/6/2)

1:00 pm
6 oz chicken
4 oz sweet potato
(300 cal/14/49/4)

5:00 pm
Not quite sure what to put here yet...fresh veggie's I think
How about a salad with grilled or baked chicken?? Or some 1% fat cottage cheese + sliced almonds on top??

8:00 pm
6 oz beef tenderloin
1 c green beans
(400 cal/10/50/18)

What I have here makes up 1,245 calories, 95 g carbs, 108 g protein, and 25 g fat. This is without the specific shake info and the 5:00 pm feeding:) Any input? Keep in mind, these are foods that I like and think that I could stick to eating.

#1 - when are you going to sleep?? If you're going to sleep at 9pm you're good with your last meal being @ 8pm - if later, then I'd suggest reducing your beef portion at 8pm to 3-4 oz or switch it to fish or chicken & having a protein + a fat before bed, such as: cottage cheese + almonds or a protein shake + 1 tblsp. All Natural PB.

#2 - If you find yourself hungry during the day, etc you may want to consider upping the fat % - age to 30% of your calories.

Today:

6:45 AM

20 Minutes Cardio-woke up late and felt icky, but still pulled off 20 minutes

8:15 AM
2 Sesamax
1 T-Rex
1 packet oatmeal (This blew up in the micorwve-quite the mess, oh and it tastes like shit.)

10:30 AM
2 Levorex
1 c. raw red peppers
1 c. brown rice

2:00 PM
2 Sesamax

**The cool thing is, I'm not hungry. The bad thing is, it takes me an hour to eat even the smallest meal since I'm at work!!**

8:00 PM
6 oz lean beef
1/14 C green & wax beans

Totals for the day:

1049 calories/124 g carbs/100 g protein/18 g fat (44%/40%/16%)

Not bad, although I think I'm hungry now since I haven't had a T-rex in awhile. Energy level is great today, could be due to the supplements.

I go to bed around 10:00 most nights. Why the change based on bed time?

That is exactly what I'm going to do should that be the case:)

Thanks!!

What happens is if you go a looooong time without food (like @ sleep) your body can enter a catabolic state, ie burn your muscle off for sustanence. So if you stop eating at 8pm, go to actual sleep @ 10-11pm & say, get up @ 7am, do whatever then eat @ say 9am that's almost 12 hours without food!! Too long....

So - say you go to sleep around 10:30pm......Again @ your 8pm meal, I'd reduce the portion of steak (6oz is a LOT of steak anyway) down to about
3-4 oz or substitute chicken. Then around 10pm have 1/4 cup of whole raw unsalted almonds OR some cottage cheese topped with almonds OR a protein shake + 1 tblsp ANPB or Flax Oil - basically you want Protein + Fat before sleep.

No work until 3:00....screwing w/ my schedule!!! No cardio this morning as am power cleaning my house:)

8:30 AM
Pria Shake

10:30 AM
4 Levorex
2 T-Rex
1 c red pepper
1 c brown rice
