What do you guys think of his philosophies? Just pick up his book and, although I'm not going to change for another few months, I wanted you to analyze this det approach for the heardgainer.....might be a useful tool for some as well.........

I have read most of his stuff...his approach is really easy for people to follow & I believe tried n True. His gourmet nutrition book is worth the $$-
 
Berardi actually changed my views on eating. My views on "timed carbs" are completely based on his writings.
 
I consume carbs for breakfast and only "around" my workout unless it's a cheat day. I've found 1g/lb of lbm to be great for dieting as a carb total. Most of my carbs are consumed during and within an hour of my workout. Post workout shake and carb heavy meal one hour later.

I usually do:
9am PC Breakfast
10am PC Pre-workout meal (milk, oats, proteinpowder)
TRAIN
11:30am PC (dextrose+protein+insulin)
12:30pm PC (dextrose+protein again an hour later)
1:30pm PC
3pm PF
5pm PF
8pm PF
11pm PF

If you train later, you'll have to adjust this of course. What time do you usually train?
 
what are your typical meals? Calories? Bulking?

I do the exact same, my car/pro is 1st meal and fruit), 2 hrs pretrain (yam/chx, veggies), shake or fruit/yogurt/whey post and a carb/pro meal post......im not sure yet how I feel about dextrose.......still iffy, yes I've tried it, I might be more apt to do a myoplex mrp instead........still getting the malt., or sweetarts..........maybe sf pudding
