Hey Bro's, just wondering if this is a good training routine for a natural lifter "so far!!" .
Mon. CHEST
Tues. BACK
Wed. SHOULDERS/TRAPS
Thurs. LEGS
Fri. TRI'S, BICEPS
Abs every other day. I eat six to seven high protien mod. carbs meals every day spaced a few hours apart.
Stats are 5"11 205lbs. About 17-18%BF. I TRY to do about 30min. cardio 3-4 times a week. I eat healthy during the week, then usually blow it on the weekends, "DAMN BEER AND FAST FOOD!!" There you have it Bro's. Thanks for your imput!!

Are you planning on following a traditional bodybuilding set and rep scheme? (3-4 exercises/bodypart 3-4 sets/exercise). It helps to know. It doesn't look bad at all, but if you are "natural", you need a rest day in there. Never underestimate the importance of recovery for your progress while not "on". I know what you may be thinking, "well, I'm not doing the same muscle group close together." Not always ideal regardless. Your central nervous system needs some down time. I'm too tired to get more technical than that.

I dont think you will gain mass with that routine. Here is my routine I've been on for 2 weeks:

1- chest/triceps/abs
2- rest
3-legs/shoulders/traps/abs
4-rest
5-rest
6-back/biceps/abs
7-rest

It is focused on the compound movements with 5 sets on the large muscle groups and 3 on the smaller.

I agree.

I wouldn't train more than 4 days a week when looking to put on mass.

You guys are joking right?

Legs are very demanding and deserve there own day. If you can manage to train any other bodypart on leg day, your obviously not training with enough intensity

you got it franco, if you can do should or bis on a leg day, you just not working you legs hard enough come on this is 50% of you body or more you should barely be able to stand after a leg work out let alone train shoulder or something like that;)

I didn't say he shouldn't spend an entire day on legs alone. He should.

I simply said that he shouldn't be training more than 4 days a week...at max.

Something like this:

Day 1: Push

Day 2: Pull

Day 3: Legs

*With rest days in between of course*

when I first started working out, the "big" guys always stressed to me that "You don't get big in the gym...you get big while you recover"...make sure you get your rest man. Just my 2 cents :D
