Insulin Dosages and Corresponding meals

I would like to hear from those of you who have in the past or currently used/using insulin.

1. what were/are your dosages (what did you feel most comfortable at)
2. line up your meals for the four hours post shot. (include any carb drinks etc)

overall experience/results
were you taking anything else at the time as well

currently I'm running approx. 17-18Iu's slin post workout. also on 75mg Fin daily. also, 400mg test cyp/wk. I take in 150g of carbs in the the form of a drink post workout. about 30 - hour after shot I eat a meal, protein/carb meal - always something different. Im on Humalog.

u drink all 150g of carbs in one shot? i would definately split that up into 2 drinks


i had my best results drinking 2 shakes 1 right after teh shot and 1 about 45-50 mins after the shot..

i was on humaLIN not LOG though and the LIN has a tricky little second spike
 
hello boys, im back..lol. when i took insulin i would take the shot right after working out, then ingest about 50 grams of carbs, then just before it is about to peak in your blood stream, another 50 grams. worked good for me. i think i started off at 2 iu per day and worked up to 7 iu's per day. you have to experiment to see how your body reacts to it. just dont over do it and be careful! hypoglycemic shock is a real possibility if you dont use caution. good luck.
 
There is no universal grams of carb per IU of slin ratio, despite what some say, as it's all dependent upon one's own insulin sensitivity as well as your pwo BG levels. Your preworkout meal is almost as important as pwo nutrition, as this also affects your BG.
Too many people overcarb with insulin and get fat.
I've got it tweaked down to 6-7g of dextrose per IU of Humalog, and I shoot Humalog IM to greatly speed up the activity onset and therefore peak of activity. I take my dextrose with creatine (and obviously water).....10-15 minutes later, 75-85g of whey.....1.25hrs later, JUST protein (150g of chicken breasts). By going IM vs subQ, the total activity window shouldn't be any longer than 2.5hrs, so normal macro intake can resume after that.
AM insulin is good while off cycle to combat cortisol-mediated catabolism, but it's not that beneficial while on cycle, as AAS in general will block glucocorticoid receptors and prevent much cortisol-mediated catabolism anyway.
