What do you guys do when u get bumps n' bruses, strains, cuts ect... from sport?

Ice is an obvious, but i get shit loads of knocks on my legs and was wondering if anyone knows anything that really helps quicken the revovery process.......please dont post eat more protein.

getting some bruise medicine of my sifu but ts an ancient chinese receipe so my balls will probably drop off 20 yrs from now

ice (And the whole RICE thing) is recommended by western medicine immediately after an injury....to reduce inflammation, with anti inflammatories like paracetemol or ibuprofen for pain. chinese medicine says no ice, as the inflammation is what sets up the healing process (also correct). not sure which one to choose, so i only ice immeadiately after, and once pain and swelling reduced, stop
