Inflammed Shoulder - im getting worried

Hi you lot.... I need some advice

Ive had a problem with my left shoulder for about 2 years now where its been getting inflammed very easily. Only recently has it goten bad. I get a burning sensation in the joint and then some in the trap and over the lower part of the shoulder blade. the pain doesnt last... as soon as i stop training the pain disapears, massage helps... its epecially bad when doing a shoulder press. My physio thinks its a weak sup-scapularis.... so ive been doing the appropiate routine to strengthen it, the one where you lie on your back - arm in a L shape and then pivot the forarm on the elbow....... Ive been doing this for about a month. If i do the same excercice on my side ie lying on the oppsite shoulder the burning kicks in, on my back it fine...

Im getting kinda worried... anyone had similar probs!

please help..... cheers

put me out of commission cus I ignored the sign of the injury.

get a cortizone ahot, and take 1.5 months off, then start from scrtch.

sorry for the bleek answer, but if you really have a prob thats bothering you follow the time immemmorial advice.....

an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of pain.

go running and do crunches for a while, that will keep you body strong, and actually magnify the healing process

OMEGA is right on the money.Had the same problem in left shoulder off and on for a year.

Take time off to heal it and do some very light shoulder exercises with bands if the doc gives the o.k.

I'll just add to what's already been said. Shoulder injuries take an unusually long time to heal. So you're gonna have to go easy on it for a good 2-3 months IMO.

I had both my shoulders scoped and I would disagree with the Cortizone shots...This is a quick fix for the pain but not the underlying problem. Go to a PT and have them give you some shoulder exercises for your rotator cuff etc. Go into maint mod for a while and stop doing flat bench and military presses

Sounds almost exactly like a problem I had, except my pain was continuous. If you have not seen a chiropractor, I would highly advise it. Also, if you are doing behind the neck presses, STOP. Lastly, look at how much should work you are getting a week, directly and indirectly. You might just need to cut back a little.
