Just some random comments:

- I still believe the Mods are trying very hard to bring the site back to normal ... which is learning, debating, exchanging info and laughing.

- A mob will watch any kind of lynching or fight. Then they get bored and go back to their daily routine. That happens here.

- TOS violations should incur progressive discipline. There is a procedure for that here and it should be followed in the open. No one has the right to violate them and be above discipline.

- Because of the trust required for this very different site, those who harm others should incur punishment. The level of punishment should be reasonable and agreed to. It may even include resignation from an office.

- That said, a Member is responsible for his or her own decisions. No crying ... walk away, Ignore, or leave the site.

- Mr. S owns this site. IMO ... When we pay, we have a contract with him. He is the final word here.

i agree 110%. this place has gotten way too loose recently. people are being called out, fmailies being threatened etc..... it's been very shameful to be honest. hopefully the boards will clean up and things can get back to normal, if there is a normal around here.

I agree. Actually, this has been a rule for years now. You must first clear any accusations about a member/sponsor/scammer/or participating company with a mod. That has always been a rule. There is no exception to this rule for anyone.

NewbiebyNature was just a victim of this. A certain someone sent an email with information regarding NBN in it and it was posted. I should have edited that and actually deleted the whole thread but unlike times in the past, NBN actually posted before I even visited the thread and acknowledged the information was partially true. Since there was a lot of bitching going on, I lightened the mood and it got rid of the regular members in the thread except for those few still in the heat of the arguement.

Some of you may not have been here very long, but there have been instances over the years where innocent people had their info posted and were subjected to real life harassment from other people caught up in the lynching mentality.

For the last two weeks, mods here have been working together almost every minute around the clock to try to prevent an instance like that from happening again. Sometimes it seems like it backfires on us because the efforts are twisted into a conspiracy theory. It is just that it is always better to be safe than sorry. Sometimes we honestly do not have all the answers to give you. Sometimes you would be surprised that the source of the most important information are regular members themselves. But that gets distorted when people start arguing among themselves and fighting. Eventually, the truth will always come out. All things done in the darkness must come to light. When tempers run short and personalities clash, all it does is become an obstacle for the overall goal. It is hard to wade through all the information and sort out what is true and what is hearsay when you are constantly distracted by other duties.

Mr X has spent hours and hours and days and days trying to piece together an accurate picture of the latest drama. And we still don't know everything. But we will. There is no doubt about that. So don't be harshing him if he seems a bit blunt and agitated. Lack of sleep will do that to you.

Stiletto has gone to other boards to represent EF mods and let people know we are not all scumbags, con artists, losers and other terms of choice that were not even as nice as those. She has spent a lot of time posting on other boards to let people know that EF was doing what it could for each one of you. She posted on boards she couldn't even get karma from. Imagine that.

Polfa has posted a lot of threads in private bringing to the admins attentions the questions and concerns a lot of you guys have been voicing. Trust me, he made no inquiries about things, rather he came right out and demanded to know what he could come back and share. He was frustrated to see some other boards have this "breaking news" first before we did, but as everyone has seen a lot of that breaking news was not even accurate. I can understand how frustrated he feels about not knowing what the 100% truth is.

A lot of mods were a bit hurt as well. Reading some posts it really did sound like you guys gave up on us. It sounded like you had no faith in the people you elected. Yes, you got a chance to vote in each round of new mods. It is not a nice thing to feel that the people that recommended you to work for them were disappointed in you. Hopefully by next week we will be the same mods we were to you a month ago, but better.

Basically try to be a bit more tolerant to one another when some major drama like these past two weeks has gone down. There will be plenty of slow days in the future you can spicy it up with some play and bullshit.

i think its funny hearing this coming from someone who was egging it on last night between newbie and the other 2 unmentionables. they have threatened this young guy and called him out with no real proof or evidence.

AAP, great post.
I've been bothered by all this backlash lately- reading things about "the EF Mods" and the 'big coverup'.
Seems that people forgot we were elected and do this volluntarily. We don't get paid, there's no secret agenda, no secret meetings where we're told what to 'cover up'.
And sometimes, we don't ALL discuss something, because we don't ALL know. we aren't a collective source of info and if people think that one one mod says is going to represent the whole site, then its smarter not to say anything.

I am new to this forum. i came here to get guidance and counseling from folks that i had believed would help me because of their expertise and experience. Although it made for interesting reading, i was a little put back by the context of the discussion revolving around nbn. I am however encouraged that the ef mods are researching and are not as quick to jump to conclusions as some of the members are. I can appreciate the fact that people are pissed and it looks like a lot of money is still out there so do not think i do not sympathize with you. it just was odd or my timing was bad that i entered during all this turmoil.
