If you have gained muscle and lost fat at the same time, post how you did it.

I have done it. In my twenties I did it without ever coming near steroids. I am now in my 40's and have done it with help from my doctor and his prescription pad. However I am currently AAS free, and have been for half a year, and am once again losing a bit of fat while maintaining my weight at least.

I have never been huge - my best is 6' and around 215 with single digit fat percentage. So take it for what its worth - what I call lean and muscular is different from someone who only thinks of Flex Wheeler or Ronnie Coleman. Anyone who laughs at the fitness model look or who says THE ROCk is small, would laugh at me.

I did it naturally when I was 25 - trained 4 days per week with weights. No cardio. I was a poor student finishing a grad degree at the time. My diet daily for 4 months was : 4 eggs and a piece of toast with butter for breakfast, a quart of chocolate milk and 4 McDonalds hamburgers with extra catchup for lunch, some fish and broccoli with cheese for dinner. I might eat something different when if I went on (a very rare) date.

I had a roomate in the same educational program as me who did roids. We parted as enemies after 2.5 years of sharing a house. I followed this deit and training program for a semester just after we parted ways. He saw me once at school without a shirt on and asked me if I was doing anabolics - which I wans't.

Now I am in my 40's and have to do cardio to keep near 12-15%. I have a local doc who wrotes a scrip for AAS and then I can get to the single digits. It sucks getting older. Damn it sucks.

i am currently cutting and still progressing in my weights..im not improving alot but im gradually moving up

It can easily be done with the right drugs, the right macronutrient balance, and a clean diet. Not a calorie deficet diet, but a clean one. Will the net gain be the same a few months after?? Its hard to say. I personally would rather stay leaner the whole way through. Also, many people dont like to blow up and then cut down. Many do though, so decide what you want. Trying to gain muscle while losing fat defintely takes more dedication. Remember that the more muscular you become, the easier and faster your body becomes at burning fat.

there is a difference between gaining lean, and cutting and gaining muscle at the same time. gaining lean is def possible.

and my half assed comment was regarding loosing bf and gaining muscle. you will not have optimal fat loss OR optimal muscle gain when trying to do it at the same time. i just call that half assed.

lets just say for arguements sake that it can be done, why bother. You wont gain nearly as much mass as if that was your only goal, same thing for fat loss as well. So why not pick one at a time and give it all your focus and do it right

Well that comes down to preference and goals... not everyone is the body builder type.

Some guys simply want bodys that chicks want.... and the majority want the guy on the front of Men's Fitness not Jay Cutler.

I deffinatly am never going to bulk agian. It is seriously not for me. And Needsize, no offense, but how can you stand being bloated and have so much fat on you, when you know that you could look fucking awesome all year round. I know its because u compete, but i would think looking 10 points better would keep e from bulking ever.

Right now, i am happy with my size and once i get lean, i will stay lean, and hopefully slowley add muscle and/or lose fat over the years. Looking good year round is more important to me than getting big quick.

Did you see my progress pics, thats the fattest I ever get and I dont consider it that bad, I can still see abs and am in pretty decent shape. The way you worded it, "being so bloated and having so much fat on me" makes it sound like I am really out of shape.
In my situation, there is no such thing as getting big quick anymore, I just dont see the point spreading my energies trying to do 2 things at once. When I get to the point where I dont want to get any bigger, I will just maintain my size and bf, which still wont involve trying to gain mass and drop bf at the same time

double protein content...cut carbs bu half...double the intensity and half the sets

The Shadow -

You're signature is obnoxious.... I'll give you $1 to change it to something that doesn't take up the entire screen.
