i can only get one of these magazines...
i have subscribed for a long time to powerlifting USA. i found it somewhat interesting but with relatively little training advice. way too much little type of nameless contests. also very little

would you say that powermag has more training advice?

I like both but powermag seems to pu tmore effort in it. And i hate seeing the same faces in PLUSA. The mailes, Dr judd, Ken Laitner. Gimmie a break. The only reason PLUSA compares to powermag is the contest coverage. You can see alot more results in PLUSA. And the Top 100 has to be seen as well. But as far as pics and quality, and articles powermag is better. In fact if you took powermag and addded all the results of PLUSA you would have the ultimate mag!

In Response To: Rumors regarding Powermag (Dennis)

: OK, with the rumors that Powermag is going
: under has anyone gotten the Feb issue?
: Considering tomorrow is March!

This is to address the e-mail that some of you may have gotten today concerning the mag...

Here is an update on the mag. Jake Jones and Wes Kampen have decided to part ways as co-publishers for various reasons. I know many of you have received an e-mail from Jake speaking to the sort that the mag has gone bankrupt, but working with Wes directly, I can assure you that the mag is not.

PowerMag is changing names (soon to be disclosed) and it will be going to bi-monthly. If you have a subscription for 12 issues, you will receive all 12 issues. The mag is also going to go up to approximately 100 pages, have more meet coverage, a new format and great articles.

If you have more questions, you can contact Wes via e-mail at [email protected] .

Milo is great, although there is no PL contest coverage to speak of, even though many powerlifters are featured.

anyone gotten marchs issue or is it just not gonna come. I've been waitin all month for this , its like a birthday gift or somethin'.

I haven't gotten my March issue either. As far as the original question, I prefer PLUSA. PowerMag doesn't seem to offer much but glossy pics (which I like). Their content is lacking IMO.

PLUSA gives you an article by Louis and now George Halbert every month as well as interviews with top name PLers. I like the hardcore gym thing too.
