I think I may have to stop squatting:(

I did legs last night and again have bad lower back pain:( I have had sciatica in one of my legs for 10 months and since I started squatting again(ATF) I get back pain. It sucks. I am thinking I should stick to hack squats,leg presses etc. I dont think squatting is helping my lower back and I dont want to use a belt because then it will never get stronger. What do you guys think?
 
Be smart and listen to your body. . . . you don't want to risk permanent injury. If you have to stop squatting. . . then so be it. Good luck!!
 
If you use a belt, don't worry about it. Your legs will still get huge as hell. There are other ways to strengthen the lower back bro.

Leave the squats alone for a little bit and try to strengthen your lower back and maybe in a couple of months you can go back without any pain. you might want to see a good chiro or sport doc to see if you have an impingement in your lower lumbars. most of the time it is a small misalignment where ther lumbar actually shifts on it axis to pinch the nerve....
