I hate all the people who don't have to do cardio and are swole

Can someone explain to me why that doesn't work for me? I used to play bball in college(for 2 years) and I was able to stay ripped. The minute I stopped I became a fatass. I'm about 40lbs overweight right now and I eat like there's no tomorrow.
I'm thinking about picking up running but I don't want to turn into a stringbean either.

The key is getting a job or atleast some daily hobby that keeps you active or on your feet for a good ratio of your day, otherwise eating right and/or working out daily is the only option (and supreme genetics).

Humans aren't made for sitting at a desk 8 hrs a day

8 sitting at desk
1-2 hours sitting eating
7-8 hours sleeping
2 hours - television/relaxing/waking up/reading/etc

You're almost looking at a full 20 hrs of being non-active, if the diet is not right and the metabolism is low, you're storing unused calories constantly.

Then shouldn't you just cut your caloric intake to match the energy output?

I have to do cardio. I sit at a desk 10-12 hrs a day. Sometimes I take the stairs up to our 8th floor offices.

Technically I sit for most of the day. when it warms up I'm thinking about riding my bike to work. I guess if I do cardio before work and weights after work it could work. I don't know how my body works but unless I do extreme amount of contact sport, the weight sticks(can't gain, can't lose). When I go back home to Europe for a month or so, I tend to lose about 15lbs from just walking and eating food in normal portions.
I think i'll just cut calories to the max and do cardio and weights.

i dont do cardio and i dont exactly look ripped but who the fuck cares when your a baller that is stronger than all your buddies? :artist:

cardio sucks
