I am reminded why it is that I do NOT straighten my hair!

Damn, I wouldn't want to straighten my hair for a long time, just until the next time I washed it...

My oldest used the ceramic straightener I got and she likes it. I showed her how to put some spray on a round metal brush then brush it through the lock that she just straightened, etc...

We spent a good 2 days together, the five of us (me and my kids) and we are beginning to adjust. Last night my oldest (the one I SERIOUSLY was going to remove from our apartment) wanted me to sleep with her and was giving me hugs and kisses and telling me she loved me... like old times. It felt good. That hasn't happened between us for a year. I think everything will be ok. I just have to get us all into some good therapy and keep them away from their abusive asshole father until HE gets some help. They get so sad after hanging up the phone with him. When he gets pissed off at them he wont say I love you to them or speak kindly to them... it really hurts me to see them that way. But I have to just keep telling them that it isn't their fault - it is HIS issue.

All that from straightening hair! EEK! I am SUCH the gurl!!! LOL

OK I popped for a $14 Vidal Sassoon ceramic iron. It works ok, but the heated ceramic section is so narrow it takes a while to hit all the layers, especially in the back. I guess you get what you pay for, I aint complaining (much).

Indeed you do I can't use regualr store bought straightners they don't do the job as they don't heat up as much as the salons ones. Hence why I got a ceramic one for my bday I ain't drop a $100 on one but my mom was nice enough to do it for me. ;)
